I can vouch for the Winter weather though Ohio is probably colder. Iowa is below Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois and the cold weather usually hits those northern states, missing Iowa and we end up with leftover cold and snow.

Brock drives a Toyota Sequoia. CMC has an Aston Martin and an F-150 Raptor, both black on black. First time I heard of a pro athlete driving a Sequoia - reliable, steady, not flashy, a family vehicle ready for camping. Toyota is smart to have him endorse their brand.

I don’t know how rookie contracts work but if I’m Lynch I think I’m giving Purdy a raise this off-season. I mean Brock is one of the smartest QBs in the league and, outside of that three-game skid, wins everything in sight. But if you look at Brock’s skillset I think the comps are probably 30 to 40 million. If I were a coach I’d rather have Brock than, say, Dak. But I’d put Brock in the top-10 QB list without thinking too much. (Cousins has made I think 250 million in his career and he’s won one playoff game. Brock I think has won two and is 2-1 while Cousins is maybe 1-3. But to me playoff victories should be usually the real yardstick.)

The NFL is a business and part of the salary structure is the salary cap. Purdy is not eligible for renegotiation until after the 2024 season if I understand correctly. He is getting some NIL money thanks to his success. As long as he doesn't have a career ending injury prior to 2025, he will get a good payday. Patience is a virtue. In the meantime, he and Nick can live pretty comfortably on their salaries even in the Bay area. It will be a little tighter next year when he is married. Good that he is saving up. His Toyota Sequoia is not a cheap car. A late model used one goes for between $55k and $77K. My house I bought in 1987 only cost $70k.
