this is fantastic!!! love how u just let them fish and we can listen to their thought processes! super helpful and entertaining!! cant wait for more!!

a very interesting contest. Swindle seemed to spin out when he couldn't catch them the way he wanted to catch them instead of trying to adjust to the conditions. Lee noticed something different and switched baits.. educated guess.. and caught fish. Could be an old fisherman vs a young one, or just differences in personalities but shows why Jordan Lee is a stick!

I agree. It was tough watching ole gman lose confidence. I think it hurt him the most. I can get in this tunnel from time to time too.

Good show! I could see the gville series with all the local hammers in a bracket. Next episode is remitz vs jo lee.

What would be cool is if you could pick from a couple creeks but it's hard to find a lot in the time frame

Would ya'll ever consider a pro vs joe 1 on 1 type event. I'm not a pro by no means but I would love to give it all I got against either one of these two. Great guys and I think it would be a lot of fun! Great contest and footage I enjoyed it. Thanks for putting this together.

What would be helpful for the people watching this would be to have real time water and air temps so we can see how the fish react as the temperatures change throughout the event. Water clarity would be good too but not sure how that could be recorded other than the anglers saying what it is or hanging a seche disc over the side. Depth would be good too :)

ken knutson it helps me that I know the lake and I am looking at a contour map of the lake too. There are more banks exactly like that than you can count on Guntersville. Tons of rip rap. It has more accessible water for bank fisherman than any lake I’ve ever seen. Every fish Randy Howell caught Sunday of the Classic to win could have easily been caught from the bank. Not from on that bridge but on the bank on either side of the bridge.
@dustinedmiston81655 жыл бұрын
Dude they said it’s March. They are in hoodies so my guess the water temp is in the 50’s hence the jerk baits. Joe lee told you the water was decent stained so there’s probably 3-5 feet visibility. A lot of times when you guys ask these questions the answers are right in front of you. You just have to pay attention to a little bit.

Jordon mentioned the full moon the night before and he mentioned the marina his parents have a boat in, was the marina off limits?

65 degree water temp is perfect temp and that’s what they said it was early in the event Lee complained early on he was burning up from the hot day it was becoming

Gerald beat himself in the tournament I watched it live. He was stubborn and stuck with a bait that simply wasn’t producing. Don’t understand why he did that
@chuckcregger85275 жыл бұрын
You gotta love those Monday morning quarterbacks. The GREATEST gets their as whipped. Rick Clunn, Denny Brauer, have finished out dead last in the field. Some days you do and MOST days you don't. If you're one of those ON'EM dudes all the time, you're windier than a sack full of farts.
@smokintreez83304 жыл бұрын
Keep Gerald swindle on makes this show worth watching we need swindle vs. Hackney lets get it. 😆 Gerald say Jordan lees parents own a yacht in there typical rich boy parents paid his way but Jordan Lee's days are over 😆
@chuckcregger85275 жыл бұрын
For you guys being critical. Win TWO aoy on the Elite series then tell Gerald when to change up. Until then, no noise. Defeat is tough enough without some ying yang chiming in. The winning pattern was televised and these yo yo"s are basically saying Gman should have done that. Jordan was a gracious winner and showed respect for Gerald.

Why would you crank grass over rocks?
@Mjones83835 жыл бұрын
I really wish you wouldn't have limited these guys to the most heavily pressured most traveled area of this huge lake. Could have at least given them everything below Town creek so they had options. Really a disappointment
@tonybass56625 жыл бұрын
With a short time, they wanted the anglers close so we can watch them fish instead of run all over the lake. Plus, it shows us regular guys how to be patient and wait for a bite and that you don't NEED to burn gas to catch fish.
@Davo22335 жыл бұрын
I bet I could catch more weight in crappie if I could get in that little dual. They are biting now and they have some slabs that will go 2 to 3 pounds or more .

@lgmbass885 жыл бұрын
Kevin Sweet your exactly correct in your thinking
@kevinsweet44915 жыл бұрын
Is their away that you could explain this, because I don't understand how they were catching them like that? Maybe it was the water temp.
@kevinsweet44915 жыл бұрын
Well since their were a full moon, that's usually when the bass go on beds, but the water temperature has to be around 50 to upper 50s or even 60 before the bass go on the beds on guntersville. But if there were a cold front that came threw, that might have delayed them from moving up shallow. "But this is just what I've witnessed."
@kevinsweet44915 жыл бұрын
Or maybe they found them moving up.
@yt_life16105 жыл бұрын
G man if you can't boat 5 on Guntersville welll might want to think about retirement lol
Unbelievable I haven’t seen either guy try and look on beds? What the heck are they thinking. Mid March and a full moon and they are fishing a post spawn summer pattern???

I’m sure I would’ve made a decision to sight fish for some of my allotted time especially when I made a thousand cast with no results! Or at best only “bucks” showing up! And it sure would’ve been more interesting to watch.

@lgmbass885 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t say it’s bitching or moaning when you express your disappointment in how these anglers fished. I would’ve loved to see some big girls that I’m sure were on the bank and I’ve never been there but it’s on my bucket list. These guys did it no justice I’m sure. Is it MLF style making these guys just cast a million cast without thinking?
@bhmsupra5 жыл бұрын
@@lgmbass88 - You are funny man. You never been there hun...and you got it figured out. Nice.
@lgmbass885 жыл бұрын
I’m thinking they had an area that they themselves stated was a rocky area which by me never being there I have to go by clue number one in developing a pattern rocky area equals hard bottom and a great spawning area, then looking at time of year and weather pattern plus noticing it was a full moon that night my gut would have told me spawn, that’s just the way I roll and I was takin back by the number one ranking bass guy in the world not exposing it. I’m disappointed because we didn’t get to see it’s potential I’m assuming. If anyone fished that area after Gman and Lee please let me know if any bass were on beds and what size and if you were able to catch them. Thank you Brian McClernan from Sicklerville NJ
@lgmbass885 жыл бұрын
I’m embarrassed for both pros on their performance. From Brian in Sicklerville NJ
@stevenmiller79645 жыл бұрын
Do you need some attention? A hug maybe? You have left about half a dozen comments here about the full moon. We get it. Every single bass in the lake were spawning and the PRO'S blanked. You are clearly the next big name in bass fishing.
@lgmbass885 жыл бұрын
Are you a home boy that can’t take a little criticism? Just confused why the most obvious pattern was never checked?
@inigomontoya69685 жыл бұрын
Just a FYI, you can't zero the scales with a fish on while not allowing the weight of the fish grip attached to the scale to be weighed. The scale will zero at true zero weight (i.e. not counting the grip). Then when you weigh the fish it's weighing the fish PLUS the weight of the fish grip giving you the total of both, not just the fish.
@TOOMTUBER5 жыл бұрын
Yep lol.... let me get my fish plus some grippers...hahahaha

Full moon and their cranking out deep?
@JTfishing61305 жыл бұрын
Number one their not cranking deep and theyre not spawning either and the full moon doesn't mean shit.
@lgmbass885 жыл бұрын
So it’s 65 degree water temp on a full moon and you never even mention the possibility of bass moving in to spawn but you continue to work off shore with a Crankbait and that’s logical? Ok JT whatever you say!

Don’t understand why neither one would throw a plastic bait. Did they have a deal not to flip or throw. Texas rig. Blue bird sky’s and limited grass mats that they can fish. I by no means would think I am 1/2 the anglers that they are but don’t understand why no plastics
@JTfishing61305 жыл бұрын
its prespawn there is no need for any plastics.

@Bray1Jay5 жыл бұрын
In that short of a time frame they want to cover as much water as possible. Dragging a worm around ain't gonna cut it if your opponent gets on a wind and grind bite. And this time of year it's highly likely to find a big school of giant spots stacked up and catch them cast after cast. Like J Lee was talking about that lake being very spot oriented, all you got to do is find that spot and a shit day can turn into an dream day.

What kills me is how much these guy rely on the electronics. They look at it more than the water. Go old school. Find some cover and fish it. I've never used the electronics and I fair out alot better than this.
