Rather than using multiple primers, I use white primer and add a few drops of Model Air to achieve the desired base colour.

What psi would you recommend for 0.3 airbrush nozzle and non-diluted primer?

To anyone having issues sanding this primer, I've found the secret is to key the surface with a 1000 grit tamiya sanding sponge prior to priming. If you do this and let the primer cure for 48hrs it sands perfectly. This is a good idea with any water based primer as they don't have the ability to key the surface they are sprayed onto unlike a solvent.

Hello can I paint with acrylic primer - and use enamel paints ( I have some enamel paints for use in cockpit areas ) so the enamel would only be used over the primer in small areas

What dilution ratio with Vallejo Thinner is recommended for the primers?

I assume this has been asked before, but is it possible to apply some of these with brush (the black and white primers, in particular) and if so, do any additives need to be added? As they are usable from the bottle for airbrushing, would it be useful to add some acrylic medium before applying by brush?

I realy enjoy the 'Back to Basics' type of videos because you get to hear other peoples ideas and methods, which then you can try out to see if they work for you. But on an other line, being a engineer sanding in one plane on a rounded surface.... Oooh..... No... The idea is to start with the tip level and then move the tip in an upwards motion an arc against the curve, therefore filling just the point of contact and not introducing a flat.

I have used Vallejo primers and have to say that I would not recommend using them for traditional primer roles - e.g., to reveal flaws requiring being fixed before the final painting stage. The reason I say this is, in my experience, they do not sand well. They do not feather well and, instead, peal and ball up when sanded. That being said, I find they make an excellent, smooth, unifying base for undercoating the color coats once all building and sanding is finished.

Eigentlich bin ich mit den Grundierungen sehr zufrieden, die Deckkraft ist sehr gut. Allerdings neigt die schwarze G zum Verklumpen in der Flasche, selbst mit 2 oder 3 Stahlkugeln drin. Regelrechte Farbwürmer oder dicke Fäden an verklumpten Pigmenten bilden sich da, verstopfen den Ausgießer und die Airbrush. Selbst der Zusatz von Verdünner in der Flasche und der Airbrush helfen da nichts. Dieses Problem hatte ich sowohl an neu geöffneten Flaschen, egal ob groß oder klein, wie auch an älteren Flaschen. Aber, bisher, nur bei der schwarzen Grundierung ! Nicht bei Weiß, Panzergrau oder Grau. Was ist da die Ursache, daß würde ich sehr gerne wissen. ? Airbrush ist ne Badger 150 + 100. Vielen Dank. I love youre primers vallejo, but I wish the smallest 17ml bottels where a bit cheaper. Maybe same price as model color. Just a suggestion.

Its easy to do. Chipping using Vallejo primers as the base. The paint just falls off anyway, Absolutely rubbish primer. Then i tried the mecha colour that was sold under the illusion that it would be brilliant for my gundams. Followed instructions on the bottle, followed countless tutorials and every time I mask off parts for different colors, the part I've masked the primer just pulled straigh up. Waited the recommended drying time, some parts i let dry for 4 days and they still didn't hold. The kits this happened to were all sanded and washed in detergent then washed off under freshwater and properly dried before painting.

I appreciate the effort, but pls, if 99,9% of the airbrush compressors show the pressure values in bar and psi, then use those and not kilograms. It can be the correct terminology, but totally not useful in a guide video.

I dont Luke your grey primer ( I use brush). I think its to thin, a minimum of 5 layers is needed. Final effect looks more like white prime. But anyway I love your other products 😘
