Yeah 100%. FIlip Humler has stepped up to the plate. He served well, hit well and passed well. He needs to get a bit better at left side hitting but he is, similar to SVT, transitioning from being an opposite give him time and he'll fill the role perfectly. And if Chaz galloway learns to pass properly he's going to be a problem. Sheward is a good setter but under the service pressure he crumbled. Creds to BYU they came with pure power and heat. the serve and block dismantled hawaii. Cowell is normally really good at tooling and using the block but gabi told him that today was not his day. Gabi proved that he is actually better than Rado. I feel rado is too pressure vulnerable. He fumbled the set (literally) during the long beach match in the pyramid and did it today in the SSC.

I agreed 💯 I'm waiting for jacob thelle to start again he is a best setter I know he is predictable too.. Hopefully coach Charlie Wade realized how important it is and the bench player is the best too try it...

Thelle isn't as good as sheward. Sheward proved his worth on the road. Wade wouldn't have replaced him if he hadn't felt the need to. And watching all the matches i saw a visual difference in the fluidity of the offence with thelle vs with sheward. Galloway should have replaced cowell halfway through the match. they said at the beginning cowell was suffering from the flu and it showed. He's one of the best passers in the country and made many errors.

Stephanie R that’s what I didn’t get. It would’ve been a good shift for Charlie to have used players like Thelle, Galloway, and Anastassiades just to switch it up. BYU knew what Cowell and Rado was going to do even before they did. I hope the middles see more action and I really hope Thelle starts tonight. We need a more offense setter.

disagree. Thelle puts a bigger block but Worsely was the prime example of how that doesn't matter. Thelle sets waayyyy too high. Especially for rado and the pins. He runs a good middle but that's it. he needs to be more consistent on his front and back sets. there's a reason sheward replaced him. Thelle serves and blocks better though you're right.

Well. After seeing the rematch i gotta say i was wrong. Thelle proved himself worth the money. He clearly has been putting in work. And hes showed that hes a top class setter who can fuck with the likes of will stanley. He's no worsley or micah ma'a but by the end of his ncaa run he might be

@@aidangayadeen4186 sheward is a better setter in my opinion but thelle just fits the current starters. Its all about chemistry. Worsely is also a shorter blocker but in the 2019 season, Worsely and the team had years of experience on what to do when Joe is in the front row. Sheward is just new. For next season, they should just keep using Thelle and train him to be a faster setter.

He’s not injured. The team was having timing issues with Jakob. Jakob is a very slow pace but high setter. Brett is a faster and lower setter. The team ran much more smoothly with Brett than Jakob.

@@courtneybell2091 They did try him out for about one rotation... They were just out of rhythm all night. Tonight should be much more competitive (and I say that as a BYU fan) Also, they should work jakob in more because brett is pretty small and sacrifices some presence on the block. Yall have played great with the block in weeks past to compensate for brett's lack of presence, but I think that is one area where BYU does have the leg up as well.
