Hi Peoplez!
As promised some time ago me and Mr.V made a battlereport of us playing the Ronin game. It's 100 points of Bandits(me) vs. Koryu(Mr.V). We had a blast and it was a close game!
Points: 100
Scenario: Skirmish
We have a minor rule messup with the "Subdue" attack, but ignore that- it was the first time we used it. And it did not play a mayor part in this battle.

:) Brian- I'm very glad you enjoyed it! It is a very nice small ruleset to get into. Some factions are more "capable" than others, but that's the beauty of it. It would be cool to see your terrain! What a cool game. I love a game that doesn't require piles and stacks of tokens and cards. Just a book, generic dice, and minis. Hopefully I can get a group to play this

athilith Thanks for such a personal reply, Tristan. Sadly, I have been pretty hobby-less for the past...wow, 3 months! I lost my painting mojo, and got super busy just before Christmas. Just the other day I finally picked up a paintbrush to test out a paint scheme on a friend's models. Hopefully my painting energy will come back soon.

I can imagine. Your good at it though. The visuals, sound, and commentary are top-notch. I LOVE IT. I know it's no easy task... but continue with this format as much as you can. And yes... M&T will be great like this. I have always said that a set of rules allows us to tell a tale... and your vid was a fine example. :)

The game is fun and I'm not sure this batrep is the best representation of the possibilities in this game. :) And yes, the smaller the game in table size and miniature amount the more time and effort can be put into terrain. Beautifully done Tristan! The visual effects were awesome! And the rain you implemented there made it so much for intense! This is easily on par with say Miniwargaming's batreps!

Btw wich video editing software do you use to do your videos (including this batrep)? I've been having trouble with mine and I can hardly make videos lately.

Building terrain and stuff! :D I'm using Adobe Premier to edit everything, Adobe Aftereffects for effects and titles and such and Audacity to record all audio bits not on the video. Thank you Brian. :) If you're looking for a game with small miniature count and a fun fast and bloody gameplay you'll enjoy Ronin. For minis I suggest check out Perry ;) . And I edit my vids with Adobe Premiere- all the effects and pieces I add with Adobe After Effects. Hope this helps mate. And thank you for the comment. Cheers, Tristan.

:) It is! The rulebook isn't that expensive and if you go with koryu vs. koryu you'll only need one set of samurai in everyday clothes from Perry getting you the game and minis with 20 punds or less :) . Thank you for the comment. Cheers, Trist.

Hi mate. Thank you :) Yes, 100 points is a good point size for the game, but you can go up to 300 if you want to. But 100 is a very nice size '- allows you to field different things and keep the game fast and deadly :) The table size is 2ft by 2ft. wich is roughly 60cm by 60cm. The rulebook also offers a campaign mode where you can play a series of games during witch your buntai can evolve and get better. :) Thank you for the comment and if you have any more mquestions feel free to ask them! :) Cheers, Tristan.
