I'm going to compare this foundation to a cheap dupe, L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation for $12.99. Both foundations have extremely similar claims along with finish and coverage. I'm blown away with the results.

I worked for Estée Lauder companies for years, during & after college. In my personal opinion there is literally no foundation dupe for Double Wear. I’ve tried hundreds of foundations (I’m a makeup junkie) and literally nothing compares to that formula. That being said, I personally don’t like Double Wear on me. It emphasizes my texture & pores but looks FLAWLESS on my sister (she has perfect skin though) but I love the double wear light formula. It’s absolutely gorgeous & very forgiving on people w texture issues. Also- the double wear powder is phenomenal as it’s very smoothing. I also worked for Lancôme, I’d say the L’Oréal pro matte is more like Lancôme’s 24 HR Teint Idol foundation… after all, L’Oréal does own Lancôme ;)

I add a few drops of Marula oil to my Estée Lauder double wear and it goes on like a dream for my mature @60+ skin, if you haven’t tried that it’s worth trying and I agree, there’s no dupes for Estée Lauder, they may look the same for awhile but at the end of the day nothing compares. I use double wear maximum coverage camouflage foundation ( blue bottle ) and honestly, no foundation compares for me. The coverage is second to none ❤️

@@-nellie-m3711 same age group and I also have to add a drop of oil (argan or jojoba) for my dry skin. Any foundation works on me if I add the oil. I've not used DW yet, but I am definitely intrigued and may try it in the future.

For me, there will never be a dupe for Estee Lauder Double wear. I've spent money on the dupes & none of them come close. It is the only foundation that has truly stopped my oils from coming through & I never need to touch it up. It's 100% worth the money im spending.

I love Loreal foundations! In the winter I was loving the Loreal Fresh wear but since it has gotten warm out I have been loving the Loreal Pro Matte. As soon as the temperature gets above 70° I sweat pretty much nonstop, I am very heat intolerant. The Pro Matte holds up beautifully. At least it does on my combination skin. I highly recommend people try it.

EL is good cause its stay wole day like a mask, but i dont like it dry my skin and i feel older in that foundation, like formula has changed i dont know.. I found good dupe, but its polish brand- christian laurent for about 4$, and i like it a lot, its like 2 skin. I wish EL was more comfortable.

@@cocochanell21 I have oily skin, which I think it works best for. Combo skin would also work well but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for dry skin.

@@Katmorrow90 honestly this is the one foundation that doesn’t dry my skin out and looks flawless throughout a full days use. I use it for special occasions and use their futurist hydra foundation for day to day. I have really dry skin and would definitely recommend someone getting a sample. Sometimes some formulas work better per personal experience :)

I've been using the L'Oreal for years! Love it. The formula changed and it took me a while to get used to the new formula. I'll never throw money away on a luxury foundation.

Estee Lauder double wear is my number one foundation. I’ve been using it for a couple years now and I have it in my winter shade and my Summer Shade. It’s my go to foundation when I’m going out or for an event. I also, before facemasks, would wear it on the daily. It never failed me no matter what . So now I’m kind of curious about the pro matte

I never realized the Loreal was a dupe for the double wear. Makes sense though because I don't like either one on my skin. When you read the claims for the double wear and they said "doesn't cake" I cracked up. Its extremely cakey on me, and no I don't use too much and I do apply with a sponge. Just doesn't work for me at all. I can't remember as much about the Loreal other than I didn't like it. It's interesting to see the side by side though. No reason to spend $43 on a foundation anymore.

I keep EL in my cabinet always. I wear it rarely but for a great evening out it’s the best....my day to day is Mac Face and Body. I will try L’Oréal now.

I have oily skin, I have tried many, especially “dupes” and those high end claiming to be “long wear” and “shine control”. During this pandemic and mask wearing, the Estée Lauder double wear has been my go to foundation. None of the other ones can make my makeup last as much as that one! If you let the foundation dry on top of your hand, where I pour the foundation, you will see how hard it is to take off after it dries. I wore the L’Oréal 24 hour matte for many years as my everyday and double wear for special occasions until I tried the 24 Hour Fresh Wear Foundation, Lightweight and didn’t go back. Preferred the look of that one over the matte.

Whenever I try other foundations I just end up going back to Double Wear - it works plain and simple. Every bottle of Double Wear I have bought I have used to the last scraped drop! No waste at all. I don't need to wear concealer with it either so that saves an additional product. With L' Oreal foundations, on my skin, it will look ok to begin with but after a very little time it settles into lines and pores, becoming patchy the longer you wear it. So the L' Oreal product ends up unused and eventually thrown out. So, for the sake of spending more money, Estee Lauder on my skin is the better investment.

I used to be Obsessed with the Estee Lauder foundation, In fact it was the first foundation I ever bought😍 I still love it,but I have definitely found others that are Really affordable and just as good 😊 I do love the Loreal infallible pro Matte also❤ I have extremely oily skin!

@@my_name_is_nat The Elf putty primer is great, and As far as foundations my go To's are Clinique stay matte foundation,The L.A girl pro Matte HD long wear,Revelon Colorstay for combo/oily, Maybelline fit me Matte&poreless...And the one I have been using for the past 2 weeks with No primer is The Colourpop No filter foundation mixed with a tiny bit of Elf Camo CC Cream,I was in a rush multiple days and I forgot to prime,and I noticed my foundation looked alot better? So I don't know if it's my age or what,but I have not been using a primer lately and I only have to touch up once through out the day! And I use the Collab set the stage loose setting powder and the Elf perfect finish HD pressed powder to really set my entire face! I also make sure to exfoliate twice a week, and dermaplain twice a month,And I use the Elf Holy hydration face cream. I know that was alot, hopefully it helps❤

If I knew earlier that the Loreal Infallible Pro is a dupe of the Estee Lauder's, I would had definitely get the Loreal foundation b4.🤷♀️ I'm still happy though with my high end foundation🥰. My skin is combo and it is curious that this foundation does not crease, set into wrinkles nor fine lines, neither gets cakey on my face; a good skincare routine and a good moist/primer underneath is a must for a flawless finish.

I think a good dupe for the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation would be Revlon Colorstay foundation for combo/oily skin that comes with a pump.

I primarily watch you on Facebook. However, I found the KZfaq channel, it's enjoyable. However, I never thought there would be a day someone would wear a lighter foundation than me as a natural, pale redhead. I remember the days when I wore an almost titanium white foundation. I'm having the issue of trying to find an affordable pink undertone foundation that doesn't look cakey. Your videos are a help.

Have you tried the Maybelline Matte and Poreless? I wear the shade 102 Fair Porcelain. It’s my best shade match of anything. Very fair, pink leaning neutral.

@@ambergerhelper7852 if it's the fit matte and poreless, I tried that one in 102. I still have it. It was too light on me. It also wore dry and cakey even with moisturizer, primer and no powder. It showed every fine line and pore also. Could be my level of skill with using a brush. I don't like sponges and blenders as much. I always seem to get streaks with them. I can't win.

I've worn It Cosmetics for over 10 years and the ELF cc cream is pretty spot on. However, I found the Maybelline Dream Radiant Liquid foundation and that one blows them all away on my skin anymore. I'm less oily and a little drier than I was 10 years ago lol.

I have found that Loreal Infallible 'Total Cover', which is slightly less matte, is more of a dupe for the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place than the Pro-Matte. Just my thoughts on my very dry skin.

I thought the L’ORÉAL side looked better. When you zoomed in super close, yes it looked a little cakey, but it provided more coverage. The Estée Lauder side wore off a lot and didn’t look as well.

Same here. Even with all their shades I can’t seem to find one that suits me and even the shades that come close, it just doesn’t look good at all. I can’t believe how much this is a holy grail for everyone.

@@monicapatton1405 It is supposed to full coverage, but I think it isn't and comes out patchy. Maybe I didnt prime my face with a lot of moisturizer the couple times I tried it. I dont know. And the one time I wore it in summer , and it totally melted off my face.

Same. It was patchy and so cakey. I moisturized plenty, tried a bunch of different combos with it, all the prep n sets I have didn't make a difference. It's just bad. Oh and no shade match for my light olive skin.

I've used both and I personally didn't think they were anything alike. The L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte was overly matte, very heavy and dry and cakey looking and I could not wait to get it off my face. The Estee Lauder felt much lighter, wore very well and did not look cakey or overly matte. Just my humble opinion.

I’m curious what people think L’Oréal pro glow (in the tube like this one) foundation is a dupe for? It is my all time favorite and I’ve tried at least 50 different foundation formulas, high and low end. I feel like makeup is so personal and different for everyone. I used to be a complete snob and only purchase high end makeup but now I have my favorites and it’s about 50/50 drug store and high end. I still like trying new products though that might beat out my favorites.

I use the L’Oréal pro glow and it’s AMAZING! However, if you have oily skin I wouldn’t recommend. I have normal to dry skin and most makeups just absorb into my skin and dry my face out. L’Oréal pro glow also has THE BEST shades for Olive and neutral skin tones. I always have the hardest times finding shades that match my skin and this is the best there is for olive in my opinion. I have tried A LOT. I think it is a medium to light coverage and is a dupe for Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation. That one is more heavy coverage but just as dewy and gorgeous. The only issue I have with it is they have less shades so again hard to match my skin color.

@@missyschwartz3409 I also have dry skin. Very dry at times. I wish I could have just a little oil! I tried the Giorgio Armani a few years back and did not like it nearly as much. The color range is certainly a problem and not a perfect match for me but I’ve still repurchased at least 5 times because the formula. My second favorite foundation is the it cosmetics cc cream. It feels a bit heavy though when you first put it on and the shade ranges are even worse.

I have to ask a few things: one can you do a how to match foundations to skin tone via online (if you haven’t already) which leads me to IL Makiage - have you reviewed this, if not can you? I need to know if it’s worth the hype, and also thank you for not using filters so we can see actual skin. Lastly, I feel addicted to ELF primer infused blushes, and I wanna know thoughts cause honestly it seems like a hidden gem.

Yes! I want to know about the Il Makiage as well. Theres definitely alot of hype around it but each ad I've seen the wearers skin looks phenomenal, shade match & finish.

Here's my experience with Il Makiage... First, I'll say that it IS a great formula. Period. It goes on great, blends well and sits on the skin great. (I have combo skin and had no problem at all with my face getting oily.) Shade matching was the problem for me. I tried three different shades and none of them looked right. I am a weird cool and neutral tone, though. Some foundations will pull too pink or yellow on me. I had no problems at all returning the foundation to try a different shade. However, on the third try I opened the foundation only to find that it had ALREADY BEEN USED! 😳 After that, I was done! (I have read online where a few people have had the same problem.) In their defense, IL Makiage was very good with their customer service, apologetic, etc. They also did NOT charge my card for the purchase. (Just make sure you do any returns within the grace period.) Now on the other hand, my friend had used it for over a year now and absolutely LOVES it! Like I said, I would have loved it had I been able to find a good shade match. I've tried an obscene amount of foundations and have come to a conclusion. It's really an individual thing. Everyone's face/complexion/shade/undertones vary so much. What works amazing on one person may look like 💩 on another. Unfortunately, ya just gotta try everything yourself. I recommend trying them. It's easy to return if it doesn't work for you. (Just be careful that you are receiving a brand new, unopened product. 🥴) Good luck!

My cheeks are red no matter what I do. I feel like I have too many things happening at once lol. I would like something that I don’t have to buy two shades to mix cause it gets expensive 😂😂😂

I have been wearing L’Oréal Pro Matte for years and I have yet to find another as good - Rare Beauty, Too Faced, Estée Lauder, Clinique, It Cosmetics, Make Up Forever, Dior, etc. and NONE of them are as good as the L’Oréal for me.

I bought that Beauty blender at the dollar tree for 1$ exactly the same one! Concealer isn't good for people over 40 & I'm 53 it settles into my fine lines makes em look worse & I've got hardly any wrinkles.

I like it much better than the ELDW but I’m dry and prefer a lighter weight comfortable foundation. No caking on me like the EL but I don’t know if it lasts as long.

I have. It actually was very common placement before, now it’s back. I have stopped putting blush too close to or on the apples of my cheeks. I’ve noticed my face looks much slimmer that way.

It's how I apply my contour and blush!! Makes my face look slimmer and more lifted. Blush doesn't go on the apples of cheeks!!

There is a primark foundation which I know so many EL die hardship swear by as a dupe but I don’t know if there are many of those shops in the us. I hate EL even the smell of their stuff makes me gag and triggers a migraine and in honesty I’ve never liked how it looks on anyone’s skin! So much hype that’s no5 worth it.

No, they aren’t. Estée Lauder (Companies) owns many other fabulous brands, but L’Oréal isn’t one of them. L’Oréal are the largest beauty brand in the world, but don’t own Lauder- they are entirely separate.
