You can set your zoom level to something less restrictive in \starsector-core\data\config\settings.json. I have mine set to 5 for tactical and 6 for strategic. You don't always NEED to be zoomed out that far but it comes incredibly handy at times. Modifying this value shouldn't interfere with any mods either.

Heeee, a new campaign. Let's do this.

It makes sense first Death Star would not use Superlaser in fleet combat, it took a whole day for it to cycle up safely into readiness after firing, so they were saving it for rebel base. But I do not like the mission because you go after it with capital ships. It is not that Rebels did not have other ships than small fighters on Yavin IV, frigates, corvettes and large freighters were on world, though they did not have much in a way of big capitals until they allied with Mon Calamari due to success at Yavin. There was just no reason sending them up there as Death Star would wreck them with conventional weapons, so they were prepping them for evacuation even though Death Star was interdicting the system. That was the horror of it, even if you had a ship, you could not leave the system Death Star targeted and once it destroyed a planet and deployed it´s fighters it could take time combing the system for survivors. That is what it was doing at Alderaan when Han arrived there with Luke and Obi-Wan on Millennium Falcon. Alderaanians had advanced customs frigates against pirates and Tarkin wanted those that were deployed and thus survived when Alderaan died as symbol of his victory. Darth Jar Jar portrait, that´s funny. Fitting for an imperial play trough. Interesting selection of factions. Can you disable nonsense like First Order when you start the game? Ship models look great.
