Allen hasn’t been the same since Murray left but there’s other teams besides the cover page ones that can stand a chance. I’ve been watching SJB bishop Gorman mater dei and even corona for awhile and the one that have stood out the most was SJB simply because they have such a hard district

@@drew9759 MD owns Bosco, and any of our top 3 would punish any TX team. Ask DVille, which lost to NS by a late TD on a neutral field, but got stomped by 42 to MD at home. And MD beat up Bosco by 21. Cali ball all day.

@Kamy Will Right. All that whining about "yeah, but this ain't one of the best TX teams" is just nonsense. My answer to that is PLAY Cali teams and shutup about it. Cali can't get a game with TX, and when they do, the whining is so predictable: "Yeah, but that's not one of TX best teams ever since so-n-so left" or "Yeah but Cali recruits." Well, at least Cali NEVER depends upon any one player, and contrary to public opinion, doesn't recruit outside of SoCal either.

@@teddrickswanson3890 They pull players from the same pool that everybody else does. Everybody goes on and on and on about so-called "recruiting," but nobody knows what the hell they talking about. Private schools in Cali do have one advantage: the transfer window is less stringent than for public HS, but still, most players don't transfer, so that turns out to not mean a whole lot. It certainly doesn't explain why Bosco dominates football in this country. And Bosco doesn't have the staff or the budget or the people to recruit from all over the place either. The thing is, they don't really need to: all the players know about Bosco, and most of the good ones try to play at either Bosco or MD or Cen10. Those are the big football schools out here that are head and shoulders above the rest.

Native Texans. Props St Bosco. Allen gets credit for scheduling the #1 team in the nation! I live in Florida and recently saw IMG vs Central Miami! Private school vs Public school. Central Miami took it IMG in the 2nd half! Central is well Coached & players are fearless! Great game by both teams! Oh by the way Texas had 32 players drafted to the NFL and 8 were from the DFW (Dallas-Ft. Worth) area. Texas always represents well on the gridiron 🏈! Texas has produced the most NFL players (2,515) of any state since it began in 1916? to 2021! God bless and peace everyone!

Sadly no one from Nor Cal will be able to compete with SJB this year in the CIF finals. Allen would be huge favorites over the best Nor Cal teams DLS, Serra, and Folsom and look how they faired against SJB . It’s amazing how stacked the trinity league is. Going to be a fun year for H.S football.

The difference between NorCal and SoCal is in NorCal the talent is more spread out. And teams don’t recruit nearly as much as SoCal. That being said from 2016- present SoCal by 50 lol.

@@andyodvor2927 De La Salle has been beaten up by MD and SJB in the past 10 years. The score is now 5 wins to 2 losses for Southland teams in the State Title Game, and most of these games have been by very lopsided scores.

@Kamy Will that’s true, it took an entire all star team for IMG to beat Cen10, but IMG itself is starting to slow down a bit, and just lost to Miami central last night, teams are starting to catch up to them, but yeah Cen10 is by far one of THE TOP DOGS in SoCal and California as a whole, they would definitely deteriorate Majority of teams out of state and most definitely could’ve beaten Bosco last year.

Last year Duncanville finished the season ranked #3 in TX and #21 in the nation. Mater Dei beat them early in the season 45-3.

There was an article in Dallas Morning news. Allen's HC said SJB is a national all star team and can recruit nationwide but that's IMG and SFA. People have association bias. They see IMG, MD, SJB and assume they're the same. SJB and MD are all Socal kids.

Not scared. Unlike Cali, Texas doesn’t have private school superpowers that recruit throughout the region. Duncanville and Allen have players usually born and raised in those cities. And Texas doesn’t have all those tent cities like Cali either.

I'll make this real simple - this CLEARLY shows what recruiting provides. Allen, TX with a population of 108k refuses to build a second high school, so it can use the methodology of being able to choose from largest pool of players in Texas. No other school in Texas with this population does this. That said, numbers don't lie. Allen should be able to stay close with ANY school, simply based on the kids its able to obtain with such a large pool of athletes. If its now NOT COMPLETELY OBVIOUS that Bosco heavily recruits all D1 TALENT, I don't know what more to say..... Props to Bosco, but clearly we know why this game wasn't close......

Lol. TEXAS builds stadium high schools but forget that football is in the player. I'm from Cali and live in Texas (Celina)...Been to many nice stadiums but not nice games . Seen bad teams made to look good because the di ision is anemic...Texas pride is football I'll give that, but man sure humbled them thinking California don't produce kids that will run with the Lions

Bosco is great, but don't sleep on Centennial. Year end and year out they always give Mater dei fits. Plus don't forget Centennial lost to IMG by one point only because coach wanted to go for two points instead of kicking another field goal and going another overtime period.
