Wake Forest Baseball and LSU Baseball played in the bracket final at the 2023 College World Series. Wake Forest would advance to the College World Series Finals with a win, while LSU needed a win to force a winner take all game on Thursday.

I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

LSU pitching hasn't played this well top to bottom since early in the season so it is a welcomed surprise. They'd been walking machines like the starter in this one.

@@themaxster7798I'm an LSU guy... but it's going to take some digging deep from the LSU pitching staff... UF will have all of their pitchers on full rest... LSU will have Floyd ready to go, but everyone else will be used up. Skenes MIGHT be able to see game 3 vs UF but he'll be on 3 days rest

This CWS has been amazing so far. The only things that have sucked have been the umpires and the amount of hate flowing from fans of all teams online. We can be fans of different teams without wanting to kill each other! This CWS has been the best one in a long time so far, let’s all enjoy it instead of trying to convince everyone that you’re amazing and everyone else sucks!

The LSU pitching staff has the best era and strikeouts in the MCWS. ERA is like 2.08 and 48 strikeouts.

Beloso is a damn DAWGGGG. He doesn't look like a ball player but he is a stud. LSUs coach did a little too much COACHING this game. 3 run lead, runners on first and second and a hot stick up DO NOT BUNT!!! Then pulling beloso just to make a running error. Can't do that against Florida.

Thompson was up at bat if I recall correctly. He has been poo at bat in the CWS. Yeah in hindsight they maybe shouldn’t have tried stealing home but honestly Thompson would have just gotten out like he’s been doing.

As a pitcher, my view is this was the best pitching matchup I have ever seen. The bats were hot, but the D had the 9's 6 Great job on both starting pitchers, and a no decision for both pitchers.

Nick Curtis played a great first base. Haven't seen that many good plays by a first baseman in one game in quite some time. Glad LSU won but I hate to see the third baseman (pink arm sleeve) for Wake get rang up twice on balls out of the zone.

Good game. The season has come to 3 of the Top 5 ranked teams matching up. Deacs nor Tigers are looking past todays game. But I would think LSU really would love to play Florida... Today we will see if Wake slots this # ...12 LOB.. and the middle of line up goes o-for. Play Ball and Go Deacs!

Skenes vs Lowder tomorrow gonna be great. Kind of sad that the best and 2nd best teams are battling right now and the winner has to play UF after getting beat up. Seems silly that with the current format a team might have to play 8 games in 10 days.

@@GOGATOR02 he was saying the bracket with the highest seed should have played on the first day instead of the second. And nobody thinks UF is better than WF or LSU except for Florida fans lol. Although with LSU/WF handicapped from this, the finals should be competitive since Skenes or Lowder probably won’t pitch

Florida is the number 2 team in the nation for a reason . Florida is arguably better than both . Considering both lost to teams Florida walked . But neither here nor there , Skenes won’t pitch the whole game more or less 3 innings . So if they do win . I hope he pitches against Florida so all the people can get his cock out of there mouth . Obviously whoever ranks the teams though Florida was better 😂 .

I'm happy we'll see another game between these two teams... they're both incredible. Why did LSU get home team for this game though? Was it a rule change in the CWS this year? The 2-1 teams should always be playing their first semis game as away. That's standard in double elim formats. I checked last year's game between Texas A&M-Oklahoma to make sure... and A&M played away as the 2-1 team despite having a higher ranking.

LSU's bunting is horrible. LSU should hire Ichiro Suzuki to teach their players how to bunt. The play where Morgan was put out while trying to steal home was a brilliant play. WF sucked him in like a shop vac sucking up a dust bunny in a corner. Geaux Tigers.
