1 week of market prep! Sewing scrunchies, creating a new size, first time sewing in the new studio

Hi Lovely! As market season is approaching, we have a lot of prep to get done. We are spending a week in the new studio sewing and preping for our upcoming markets in Feb and March. We mock up and create a new scrunchie size and we sew in the new studio for the first time. Enjoy! :) 💗

Great video, love these types of studio vlogs. The cutting mat is probably getting warped from the sun coming through the window. I have one of those sewing machines and it vibrates everything. I use thick rubber placemats to prevent machine moving and marking the table.

If you use a damp cloth or towel placed on top of your mat and iron over your cutting mat, it should help unwarp it. Just be careful with how long you leave the iron on the board as you don't want to melt it. But this definitely helps as I've fixed my own mats this way. Hope that helps. Lee :)

Hi, im in my mid 30s and have Never used a sewing machine! I wouldnt know how to turn it on, what stitch to use.. Could you make a tutorial? Would love to make some scrunchies for my daughter. Im also Aussie 😊

What measurements do you use for the fabric and elastic, please? When making my scrunchies, they always seam out of proportion 😅

25:51 As a beginner hobbiest, why are you cutting the fabric when its folded? How do you know you folded it correctly? Ive never purchased fabric or seen so i literally dont know. Also, id like to make scrunchies for my 3 yr old. How do i know how much fabric to ask for at spotlight? I still need to learn how to turn on and thread a machine
