Thank you for saying so. I'm glad the information was useful. Perhaps you can apply the ideas to Gambian history and teach us about that one day?

@@DavidTizzard You're most welcome. Yeah, his ideas are applicable here as well. We shall share

Yes, it's a great book. Wish you the best of luck with your study. There will be a new version of an EH Carr video up soon. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch.

It was a nice touch (at 1:09:00) to compare Collingwood's philosophy of history to method acting.

Thank you - not sure where it came from but it seemed appropriate at the time haha

Good topic.. "Historian and his facts, not the facts".. I thought that the history is about the facts. But never thought about the subjectivity. Thanks a lot.

E.H. Carr does some really great stuff. I think a lot of his ideas would have been evident in the talk I gave in Gwangju.

Thank you for this interesting lecture Sir. I must say Carr criticise himself in the first chapter, as we read first he says the facts are "alike a fish on a fishmonger's slab and historian takes home and cooks according to his taste". But later on somewhere he says " the historians sunk in the deep ocean and collect the fish (facts) according to his needs"?. Your views on this, please. Once again thanking you, for this lecture!

@@muhammadikramtheoceanofwis8116 Very interesting subject and question, but I don't think I've covered that in a recorded lecture yet. Maybe I'll do it soon.
