Most barbers sure as hell weren’t layering hair ten years ago, and my dad sure as hell wasn’t letting me go to a salon, so I got point scissors and a razor blade and learned. I don’t hate it super short or in a fade at all, but if I got a little healthy length going I woulda been pissed af. I imagine they ask behind the scenes what they want and how short is okay. I wanna believe that’s his process, he seems respectful

Your hair slows down growing the longer it gets. In college I shaved my head and didn’t cut it for an entire year. Then I got it trimmed 2-3 times to actually get it equal and growing properly. He might of exaggerated but from the cut he just got it would take about 8 months - year to get back to what he had
