I have been on the fence about getting locs for so long and constantly looking for videos that are straightforward and so the journey realistically and you video did a good job of showing progress, with pictures both retwisted and needing to be retwisted. You don’t chat too much. Great video on illustrating what to kind of expect. ❤

Girl, I just stumbled across your videos and found myself watching a few of them, starting with your first day in getting loc'd and your content has given me some hope to start my journey..lol. Congrats on making it to 1-yr! 🎉 Now if only I can just start..😂🤦🏾♀️ I've been relaxer-free for a year and a half and usually just get my hair pressed or put in some feedins but, hell, I'm getting tired of doing both..Lol! Just ready for a change and I'm also tired of flat boring hair..lol. Always find myself hiding my natural hair under a hat. I think my biggest fear in starting my loc journey is embracing my natural 4b and 4c hair and all that comes with it in its natural state. It's just hard when you've been use to having your hair and edges straight all your life..lol. So being ready to walk into new territory with my hair is a bit scary BUT even after seeing your first video and a few others, I think that was enough encouragement to get me motivated..lol. Especially when you found your cute style that worked, which I think would look cute on me as well. Becuz lawwwd...I don't want the short boy bob locs..lol. But once you pulled yours back I was like yessss...lol. Just currently narrowing down my locticians and also trying to decide if I want to start with coils or two strand twists...ugh...decisions..lol. New subscriber here! 😊

awww thank you so much for sharing your experience and support! Girl listen, change alone is challenging but you can and will evolve overtime! You literally have to embrace every stage of your life! I used to get relaxers when I was younger and stopped somewhere in high school. I would do the wigs, sew ins, blow outs, Dominican blow outs, braids, faux locs and more lol. But something about the loc journey just took me to another level. A new identity of myself was trying to break through and I’m literally a different person now. It’s like my hair grew with me in a sense lol. Idk if you’re spiritual or not but I’ll say pray about it and do it for you not for anybody else. Also pray for courage and mindset to embrace and have a positive journey. Not just if you decide to go with locs…but life within itself. I’m proud of you! Welcome to the QueenQlub! I love you and can’t wait to hear another update from you soon!👀😂
