I hope you are all doing well and staying safe!
Today I am sharing my Louis Vuitton Cosmetic pouch GM 1 year wear and tear!
I am sharing my thoughts about this piece and why it is so practical! I'd love for you to let me know what you think about this piece or do you have a piece in your collection that you love to use in a different way?

Oh how I wish you uploaded it a few days earlier! I got the PM size and I don't like the size at all. Too small for my preference. I'm going for the GM!

Love this GM pouch. I just ordered mine today, before prices go up! I have a feeling this will be increased or discontinued. How have have you loved it so far? Mostly used as a bag or cosmetic pouch?

Hi Maria! I just used mine this weekend actually! I use it both ways; this weekend it was a cosmetic pouch for my weekend getaway. I wear it as a bag in the spring/summer. I still adore it! And when I travel, I love it as I can leave my makeup on the counter and attach my chain strap and off I go wearing it as a bag. I still adore it! Mine still looks brand new! (I am careful with it though)

Hi Claudia! That leather strap is from LV - I’ve had it for years, from my original old model Pochette Accessoires. I had gotten it then. I sold the PA when I got my new model, but held on to the strap. You can find the same thing on sites like Dress up your purse. ☺️The D-rings are from Amazon. They are linked in the description box. Thanks for the review! Just purchased this to convert! 😊 Does the D-ring colour match the zip puller colour? They seem to match the zip but not the puller as its very yellow. I've bought a few different D-rings and they all seem to be the same. Thanks Emma 😊

Hi Emma! My Drings match, they don’t stand out at all in my opinion. It is true that the zipper pull is brushed and these are shiny, but the tone is the same so it doesn’t look bad at all. At least mine look good in my opinion. 🙂

Hi just tried this hack. It looks great! I have a question about any wear from the Dring rubbing against the bag. I’m a little concerned about that.

Hi! I have no wear at all on mine! I am careful with it, but it literally has no wear on it. I have had those rings on it since I got it, so about a year and a half. I don’t wear it everyday as a handbag, but I use the pouch regularly in bags and it is perfect. I don’t see any marks on the vachetta, canvas or zipper. ☺️ Enjoy it!

Hi! I need to find my receipt, but from memory I paid it around 650$ before taxes, not much more than that. It is now 815$ before taxes…😬 It has been 2 years…

Just got this for Christmas. You have used yours for the past year, correct? It looks like the zipper and pull didn't tarnish. Did you use it daily or occasionally? Did the D rings hold up against tarnish as well?

Hi Kimberly! Yay, what a nice gift! I have no tarnishing on mine (touch wood) and it is a piece I use all the time. Not always as a bag, but also as a catchall in my Speedy’s for example. As a bag, I don’t wear it all year as it snows and rains, so I only wear it on nice days when I don’t worry about the vachetta. It is mostly my spring/summer bag. (I also wear others but this is my favorite). And when not in use (if I carry a smaller bag for example), I keep it stuffed with air paper and in its dustbag. The d-rings have not tarnished either. Hope this helps! ☺️

Hi Maria, what are you thoughts on an adjustable monogram strap in 20mm? It rains a lot where I am and I am worried that the vacheta strap will get satined real fast .

Hi Monica! What I think of the mono strap is...it has been on my wishlist forever! I just haven’t found it preloved from a Canadian seller yet, or when I do, I’m not quick enough. And new I haven’t been able to pull the trigger - I find it expensive. But mono straps look soooo nice in my opinion, so I would loooove to have one! And I agree with you - it will be perfect for rainy weather! ☺️

I looove talking with you guys - it is one if the best parts of KZfaq! 💕💕💕 I am so grateful everytime I get a comment or question! 🥰 I love the pochette Metisse strap - ideally needs to be adjustable for sure! Or else the length of my vachetta strap (which I need to measure) as I am tall-ish (5’8”) and I find the length of that strap to be perfect!

Hi, I just ordered the pochette cosmetique in gm and I can’t wait to finally have it 😍 hopefully it’s coming to me in 5 days 🤩 I also ordered some d-rings and a gold chain for it, because I want to use it as a purse. The shape is so lovely! 3 months ago I finally fulfilled my dream of my very first LV bag (Neverfull MM) & I already transformed the NV pochette that it’s coming with. Thank you for your video. Hi! I love my cosmetic pouch so much! It isn’t a bag I wear on the daily, but I still really enjoy it. I use it mostly as a crossbody now, or as my travel cosmetic pouch when I go away for the weekend or something, but less as a catchall in my purse as I have been using smaller bags lately. But once I go back to my Speedys or totes, this beauty will be in it! It does stay up nicely, so no need to have it lean on anything. As for is it worth it? It was at the price I paid it now 2 years ago. The price has significantly gone up now so honestly I don’t know if I would re-purchase it at these new prices. Probably would on the preloved market if I could find a good deal. I can say though that I love it so much, so no regrets. It’s looks so cute as a crossbody or as a clutch. It fits quite a bit. Wipeable so no stress when using it. And I am such a sucker for dome-shaped pieces! 😍 Let me know if you have more questions!

tried to add d rings and had a big fail. the screw part which is long and thin actually went into the canvas and not thru the leather tab bit so now it is stuck in there😫😫. the leather tab was so tight. wondering how i can get it out?! i’m so bummed i did that. 😢

Hi Susan, oh no! 😨 I don’t know… I didn’t have any issues. I had gently and slowly slipped my tiny screw driver through the loop to test and then when putting my screws in they just slid right in! I’m so sorry that happened. 😔

Hi Maria, just bought my first LV and choose the cosmetic GM pouch to do a crossbody bag, but it’s really really hard to put the D rings, i just feel it will mess up the bag. I think its better not to try more. I was hesitating between a wallet or the cosmetic bag to use it has a crossbody bag and I really regret it my choice, it does not work that great.
