Just put fuses on all the wires to the battery. My Hook up guy taught me " you fuse it or lose it. Fuses can and will save the day . If you do it right

@@myrontaylor77, it's not just the wiring. The battery itself is not enclosed. The aluminum plates are energized, exposed, and fractions of an inch from each other. If anything conductive bridges those plates it's going to be bad. just dropping something like a car key, a coin, or a hand tool on it is going to send molten metal flying all over the place. That battery has enough amperage to vaporize any metal that causes a short very much like a welder, but all at once and uncontrolled. Obviously, anyone near that could end up with bad burns, missing limbs, eye damage, or just plain dead.

I definitely like my 96ah headway bank, it's perfect considering my amp makes rated at 12.8v. I will say that the 64ah bank I had before I built this 96ah ran my 8k really well.

Very satisfied with my '64 amp hour lithium. I have another box balancer bars about to start another 64 amp hour and do a battery delete up front 👍🏿 but the AGM still holding it down for me up front 😁

There is nothing wrong with the headway cells, keep doing your thing, just so you know everyone had to start out somewhere. Just to let you know the headway cells out perform the first JY batteries and Limitless when they used the A-123 cells.

Limitless still uses a123. But most they have is 56ah retro, cyber 12k is like 45ah, so of course a 96ah headway outperforms, match the ah bank size and headway doesnt outperform. Headway is the weakest lithium for car audio.

I have ninety-six hours of headway. On a 8K I will say it does the job but I sure wish I would have went a different route and went with a different chemistry. I wish I would have purchased C-Max. But I guess we live and learn....

About 400 if you buy the bars they’re called bus bars you’ll be able to find the headways everywhere you’ll need 24 of them

Lol no you dont. You arent clamping 10k on that bank and i bet you have huge voltage drop. Even with a 400a alt, 96ah is capable of handling 10k max, not rms. That is at the limits of a 96ah headway bank, i know for a fact. You laugh cause you know you drop into low 13s, high 12s and pushing that bank to the limits.

@@manuelperez4130 I got you make sure its at least charging at 13.5 to 14.9 volts check the bank every two weeks if possible the cells do go bad after a good while.

I dont like headway. Still drops. Its built to do just that. Its built to drop n then plateau. Called flat discharge.

What does your alternator charge your cells to? Im trying to come up with a fast way to charge my 96ah headway module after discharging it with a inverter while camping and stuff

Apparently, you're running a stock alternator? Stock alts dont charge hardly anything at idle. Something like 50 amps while an after market one will triple that. And at 1200 rpm be putting out full amps. Different lithium chemistry will result in different power curves. Say the headway is made to be work with a normal car charging system of 12.8- 14.4 volts while cmax needs 14.8-16.8 volts. Lot of guys with cmax run a seperate alternator system to get the 16.8 volts. Also looks like you had just 1 ground wire on the bank? Thats a good sized amp prob a 5k? Im running a 40AH different chemistry with stock alt on a 5k and it dips into the 12s pretty quick. Got another system with a 5k and a mechman 320 alt and it hardly moves the voltage.

I have a really similar one, just a different balancer and custom Buss bars but I’m not sure why it won’t charge? I have a 400 alt with a power wire going to it and it won’t charge past 13.2

Hey man, i just got a 64ah headway bank. I currently have 3 agm batteries and a xs power super cap and getting bad voltage drops. So i bought the headway. Should i just take out the 2 agm inside and leave the super cap with the headway? And keep agm under the hood obviously. Any help is appreciated. I have a stock alternator as well. So what configuration should i use?

Those balancer fails...the light shoud be on whene its on....12.5 is too low...if ou check each cell row you may find a voltage difference....mine ijuat changed out 2 headway units...1 was leaking ....the other depleted...so I'm replacing it with a 350 amp balancer

I’m having trouble understanding amp hours. So my alt does 240 amps and my taramps smart 3k pulls 150 amps I think. so I subtracted both numbers and got 90 ah, so do I need only 90 ah or Do I need to double it to 182 ah to play for 2 hours.

@@markwoods212 no did you delete the auxiliary battery for the start/stop? I have the same car 2021 and I’m running 80ah yinlong and 390 alt with my factory lead battery, but the lead is draining my lithium

@@greggmoultrie2009 No I didn’t eliminate my battery and my car is a 2015 but I’ll advise you to eliminate the lead battery and you should be fine my car came with agm battery and agm works well with headway but ying long works well by itself with 15 plus voltage.

@@markwoods212 I have an 07 JGC, I was thinking of putting my battery bank and amps in the same location but decided to put them in the rear basically for safety reasons and i m thinking i want to wall mine off behind the C-pilar. Im not running lithium, 2-140ah agms and a couple ioxus ultracaps, only 1 is installed currently tho and i dont have any voltage drop running 2 teampie tp-2504's. I am debating on lithium just to save space so i can add the other two 2504's and the other two ultimax 18's and build a wall.
