1 Year With My Mercedes C43 AMG Facelift

Today's video is a 1 year update / review of my 2019 facelift Mercedes C43 AMG and in it I go over the full year's running costs, any issues I've had with the car and all the modifications I've made to the car across the year.
I bought this C43 6 months old with 8000 miles on the clock, and 12 months later I've done an additional 6000 miles. I've not had to replace any tires yet thankfully...but when I do it'll be Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Ss all around.

I missed out mileage and tires... 8000 miles on the clock when I bought it, it's now on 14,000 and thankfully no new tires required just yet.. Will be putting on Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Ss all around when the time comes though

If you had to repurchase your car, would you go for a e43 or a c43? I believe the pricing on the facelift c43 is similarly priced to the 17 e43s. Unsure how the additional weight would feel. But the interior cabin would feel like a slight upgrade.

Still the c43! Think the E would feel a little too big in the 43 format...the 63 however 🥵

Been watching your channel all year just purchased a c43 loving it white prem plus 360 list goes on do you still have the same tyres or have you changed them and if so what would you have thanks keep them coming

Amazing video as always ! I wanted to ask how much of a difference is running cost from this C43 to the cla45 I want to get the CLA45 but if the costs are not massively different then this would be ideal ?

Servicing actually works out cheaper on the 43 than the 45 as it’s not a ‘proper amg’, but worse on fuel as you can imagine with a bigger engine. So overall it’s quite similar. Tires the 45 goes through fronts quite fast because of its haldex all wheel drive whereas this 43 is a bit more even

That read seatbelt for the middle passanger looks so outta place. I would remove that and also the middle headrest fpr better rear visibility when not carrying 5 people

Nope, works perfectly fine! But you have to get the distronic compatible grille to begin with

When you pop the bonnet using the latch somewhere under your steering wheel, it will prop the bonnet up slightly so you can get your fingers to the latch and release

How is the suspension compared to a base C class? I have a 18 c300, looking into move towards a facelift 43. The run flat tires that came with the car honestly make the 1999 Camry feel like a rolls Royce.

Great looking car however the problem with the 35, 43 & 53 is that they are not really AMGs, they are for people who don’t really understand what they are buying real AMGs have hand built engines which are made in Affalterbach, Germany by one Mercedes engineer who has spent years training before being allowed to assemble them, it is what the brand is renowned for ‘One Man, One Engine’ and this is reflected in the price you pay. The 43 is mass produced in the uk with the engine being built in London yet Mercedes still asks a premium for these cars. Having lived in Germany for 6 years I would regularly visit the Affalterbach plant, on my last visit I asked some of the engineers what their thoughts of these cars were their response was mainly negative and all believed that these cars watered down their efforts.
