I loved how atsushi's personality is of this blunt bold person, dazai being a little scaredy cat and a dummy, chuuya being the the chillest being on planet earth, akutagwa being understanding and training dazai, fyodor's little breakdown and how nikolai desires humanity deeply

I just finished the video and this is just- AHGSJHASDGWEAEIKFASHDFLKJASGDFLJYASWEO I LOVED everything about this, the small details, the introduction, the designs, absolutely everything. I loved how you're treating the video as if it's a story, not explaining the AU completely, but leaving small hints of what happened in the lore of it so we can discover it ourselves. The way the abilities work there are amazing, the way that they're chatting while also reacting, not as some videos are mostly chatting or others mostly reacting without any talks in-between, there's a balance that makes the video more entretaining and exiting to watch. The characters are SO well made that it's unbelievable, Dazai's personality is so different that it makes waiting for the next parts impossible but also exiting; I love the way Chuuya sees the world and doesn't consider himself human at all, but that doesn't seem to bother him. I adore the way you characterized Atsushi and Akutagawa so opposite-like that I wouldn't recognize them if you hadn't introduce them in the fist place; I love the opposite Fyodor, the detail that he acts so human and normal-like, (I kind of see him acting like Sigma); Nikolai is very well characterized too, the fact that he is like an asshole but people don't understand him is so cool. And I can't forgot to mention that OH MY GOD RANPO KILLED FUKUZAWA???????????? this fact surprised me a lot, I suppose that it must've been like in the mafia, how Mori killed the old boss to take his position and thought that Dazai could've done that too if he didn't leave, I absolutely LOVE that detail, as much as I loved this reaction so much!! As soon as I saw the introduction of the characters in this AU, I immediately was so darn excited for Fyodor and Nikolai and was quite literally squealing when I realized they would react to them first in this video. Your interpretation of somewhat vague events and topics in BSD are so poetic and beautifully worded, I can tell you would be an amazing story writer omg 😭 (I may or may not have jumped out of my seat when I realized they would also be reacting to Fyolai as well 38:59) Your AUs and reaction videos are always the best and most thought out, istg, there's a story going on outside the reaction, and those of the AU actually feel like well-written characters in an equally intriguing world, it's crazy how you can put this much plot within a 46 minute reaction, and likewise, it is also so impressive how a REACTION VIDEO is this long and maintains the same brilliant quality throughout the entire video. The little conversations between Dazai and Chuuya about their troubles and pasts that have only been vaguely hinted at thus far, the dynamic between Akutagawa and Atsushi, the comparisons and complexities of Nikolai's belief of freedom that is so thoroughly explored, the entire side-plot of "Fyodor" not even knowing of his own ability and clearly having an identity crisis, the nature of Yokohama as a whole and it's criminals and citizens alike delved into, it all made me feel like I was watching BSD all over again, albeit from another world, this is a splendid work of art indeed. I quite literally got goosebumps at this part: 38:14, believing the drop in quality wasn't exactly intentional until I realized what was going on, i could actually feel the chills oddly enough. I literally love this. But all in all, even though Fyodor and Nikolai's turn is already over, I'm still looking forward to reacting to all the rest of them (I'm really curious how you would make them discuss Dazai's philosophy of life, etc. But no pressure obviously, I just think your videos are so chef's-kiss omg) But make sure not to rush yourself and ty for delivering this immaculate masterpiece!

This is probably the best opposite reaction I have ever seen! for any series or show! So much detail was put into the characters, from their opposite or tweaked abilities to their opposite morals and philosophies. Their appearance is done tastefully as well! I really liked the designs! The ranpo not getting along with Fukuzawa that it led to is also a fun detail! I love all the discussion on the ideologies and beliefs of the canon characters, or the originals. I love how you pointed out that they would be able to at least somewhat understand them as their morals would be the opposite of theirs. To be honest, there were so many little details that I adored! Though, I do think there were more emotions on Nikolai's face about Fyodor's death than what you said. I think the fact he didn't do it with his own hands was only one of the reasons he was so upset. He did comment that Fyodor was right and that even with him gone, he now realizes that he would not have freed him as he hoped. Fyodor was always right. As Fyodor was his dear friend, he felt unimaginable grief seeing him be gone. It conflicts with his morality. Fyodor being gone should have freed him, yet it didn't. It could be due to him not doing it himself, but even if he did, he would still be sad, and that is the conundrum-that even then he would not be as free as he wishes he was. I honestly didn't even realize he could be partially sad because he didn't do it himself when I first saw the video, since I was so used to the fact that Nikloai only wanted to off him because he was the person he cared for most in the world. I do wonder how he will react if he meets Fyodor again. finds out he can't be killed? like, if he succeeded, then Fyodor would have taken his body over instead! I can't wait to see the others and their reactions. Dazai is going to be very interesting, but I do think Chuuya will be even more interesting since, while this Chuuya is loyal, OG Chuuya takes loyalty to the next level. He is loyal, even if he doesn't agree. It is why he follows Mori and the PM; he swore an oath to serve the boss, and that is what he intends to do, even if he doesn't agree personally with everything Mori does. Atsushi and his self-pity (as aku loves syaing) and Akutagawa obsession with Dazai. also very interesting topics. I am sure you will handle them well! You could see some of the opposite showing in Atsushi! Saying things happen and you just have to move on? That is something. Our dear OG Atsushi struggles with doing, stuck in the past memories.

The abilities including their names are so cool what the fuck I love how chuuya's ability says "can make ability users lose control" similar to corruption that's so smart And that intro is so cool what 😭

I love how you put a lot of thought behind this, and I can notice that. How all of them have inverted ideals, which is difficult to do cuz for that you have to actually understand the cannon ones. I love the philosophy worked into this, and that Inverted!Nikolai would become Cannon Nikolai if he just took a different path. I really love that cuz it shows that the inversion of oneself is not truly the annihilation of oneself.
