I miss Hawaii😭 yes us islanders love our rice lol. And you are right there is more rice and meat then veggies. Since living in the mainland I can't eat rice like use to. And if I do I need vegetables as well. Enjoy your stay in Hawaii🤗

Omg! I love Zippy’s and they are supposed to open one here in Vegas! I grew up down the street from Alicia’s Market! So yes, I know there yummy food well! Leonard’s Malasadas is the best & I just had some delicious malasadas the other week! Shimizu’s shaved ice is one of the best, I love strawberry with ice cream instead of Azuki beans! I haven’t gone to the garlic chicken place or the last donut place but it looked tasty! 👍💜

When you tried the li hing malasada,the look on your face was classic. I’m glad you went to my favorite spot, Sogois. Usually when I go there I get the karai (spicy) garlic chicken, the Saba (mackerel) bento and the ahi (tuna) Loko-moko. Da food dea broke da mout.

Hi Raina, I'm fan from Lisbon - Portugal, and it's not the first time I see you trying malasadas as a portuguese kind of donut but you have to try berlin balls, it's also round but has egg cream filling, and that is more traditional here in Portugal.

Raina. Zippys didn't offer you their famous chili with rice with chicken? Gotta love Leonard's malasadas. My favorite is their monthly fillings taro, lilikoi/passionfruit and their guava flavored. Sugois is famous for their chicken. I'm glad you enjoyed the garlic chicken. Alicia's market tho. Roast pork, turkey tails and their kahlua pork is what I usually buy from there. Wished you stopped over to liliha bakery for their cream puffs and desserts. Taniokas in waipahu for the fish patties, highway inn for homemade Hawaiian food, Elena's for their pipikaula/ smoked short ribs. Hope you went to northshore for some romys shrimp or famous shrimp plate n squid, or at giovannis shrmp truck in kahuku. Not in haleiwa town.

Are you going to any other islands? Honolulu is well-resourced and gastronomically multicultural but a few days on Maui and the Big Island are definitely worth it. They give you a calmer quieter Hawaiian experience

I had never seen ppl use a butter knife to kind of help put their food on their fork or chop sticks or whatever they happen to be using at the time, until I saw Actual Asian style muckbangs. (Spelling?) And I think it's so cool honestly. Just looks so much easier and helpful.

There is nothing like surfing out in Hawaii and seeing your Shadow on white sand underneath the clear blue waters.. sometimes while it rains. Learn to surf.... just wait a while after you eat something!
