the thing is some have adapted. a lot have just moved on. some accept they don't win as much anymore or just play for fun. mike honestly believes he's still an elite player and he's just running bad for a decade. he's a cautionary tale at this point. now at some point he might win a bracelet. he plays a ton of events, many of them small fields and through sheer luck playing that many events you should win one. at that point he'll declare this proves what he's been saying all this time and then he'll go right back to getting smacked around the wsop.

there are still tons of terrible players. The thing is there is so much luck involved in tournament poker your skill in any one tournament isn't even relevant.

@@Civ5forlife-td7hy of course, your right about the luck factor in short term tournament poker. But I don't think any poker players that played seriously from like '01 till '10 can say that a large portion of players haven't improved drastically, making the game much more difficult for even top pros. From knowledge of ranges to bet sizing, all of the coaching sites have made tournament cashing in the 15%-20% range an ambitious feat for even solid players, which was near EV in the past. All I mean is there's nowhere near as many absolutely terrible players that are happy to lose their stacks to pros as there once was. Need proof, just watch old wsop episodes from the early 2000's. I'm sure most would agree
