Found more of the Dayna Blue, BC Ocean Picture Stone. After thinking we worked out the Dayna Blue Pit completely, I decided to go a bit more aggressively into the hillside where we found this amazingly blue gemstone. After a whole lot of work I discovered that the seam actually goes back into the hillside more. Unfortunately at this point to harvest anything more it takes a whole lot of work. And looks like we have to start moving the mountain to get much deeper into this seam.

Dan, another great video! Even though I'm more interesting in gold mining, I think I find this series the most enjoyable. Maybe it's the earlier videos and seeing you out with your family exploring the area, maybe it's your excitement or maybe it's just beauty of the rocks and the surrounding country side. One suggestion to make moving the larger rocks easier is if you can get your truck or a quad nearby, put a 1/4" or 3/8" masonary anchor into the rock, attach a chain and pull it out with the truck or quad. It saves a whole lot of energy and keeps you out of the fall line of the rocks as they roll down the hill. Good luck for the rest of you mining season.

Never ever feel like you have to explain your finances to anyone! I love seeing you find the good stuff, I hope you make a ton of money. Keep digging, mining, cutting, and finding. Think of all those times you've been skunked or came home with a few flakes. That's great looking stone, get it to the market so it can get made into jewelery. Good job.

I hope to see this remarkable lady. Miners do not move mountains. They just adjust them a bit. My grandfather was a coal miner. ?He adjusted a good bit of the West Virginia hills over the years. His home is sheathed in hand cut Field stone bricks. It now is the home of a new family, according to Google Street view. God bless you all.

I think it's great that you named that deep colored Ocean Picture stone after your wife. I know she found that particular vein, but still nice you named it after Dayna. Some of those big chunks would be amazing specimens with the host still on it. I can imagine some artists and collectors would make great big displays out of them.
