Dude if youre going to play Stalker download the Stalker Anomaly mod. I've literally been playing it nonstop for 3 months its incredible and completely free. Basically combines all 3 games together to give you the full entire zone with all its maps in one game as well as less buggy, crashy, and just better in general. I 100000000% recommend it, It's absolutely the best Stalker experience with no hold backs that the actual games come with.

I think the only hold back is that you don't appreciate just how much better stalker anomaly is lol

I suggested this on his gaming channel, he said he was going to try it but hasn’t uploaded anything yet. A long time ago he tried the lost alpha mod and hated it so might have ptsd… I forgot to mention how easy the experience was to customise as well so pretty much any feature of anomaly you don’t like you can just change in the in game settings or at worst find another mod for it to fix it. Couldn’t recommend it any more as a stalker fan.

I tried some Anomaly, Henry. Not sure it's my cup of tea. I just love the structure of Shadow of Chernobyl. All the customization in Anomaly has me like "isn't there just a story mode?" But you suggesting Anomaly had me play Shadow of Chernobyl which led me to do this for the 10k subscriber stream, so thank you :)

I've played SoC so many times in so many ways, it's definitely nice, kind of wished you could explore the actual plant location a bit more as it seems fairly detailed for the path they make you take but yes, overall it's a pretty neat experience for Chernobyl fans.

People are mentioning mods, and they're sooo right! The game has a modding community as dedicated as the one for Bethesda games. Call of Chernobyl was mentioned, you might also want to check out the unforgiving Misery mod.

Since you enjoyed STALKER...go try out Chernobylite. Indie game, very well done, has choices that actually matter although they can be changed. I think graphically and landmark wise, Chernobylite does Pripyat and Chernobyl even better than STALKER did.

Hey Charlie you said Chernobyl was NOT an Atomic Bomb.... But.... Isn't that just the Nuclear Power Industry splitting hairs to distance itself from such a terrible weapon? Here's my reasoning... If say an Indian Chemical Plant has Safety / Operational Protocol failures and explodes we might very well say the entire plant had become a "chemical bomb". Not by design but by accident. Your reason why a Reactor Explosion was NOT an atomic bomb seems mostly based on the fact that a Reactor is, not configured to explode, and contains materials to stop explosion. However, it could be argued, despite being designed not to explode, and despite the materials used, Chernobyl did in fact manage to explode! The fuel providing the energy was a fissile material. Certainly it was a really "whimpy", low yield, compared to a deliberately design Atomic Bomb. However there was a heat blast, there was a burst of radiation, radioactive material was scattered around and contaminated dust / smoke / ash was thrown up into the atmosphere..... That does sound like some kind of very low yield, possibly "dirty" type of device rather than the high yield "big bang, big mushroom cloud" that you used as the unrealistic comparison. So can a "bomb" be created by accident? Does it have to have some kind of yield to qualify? BTW actually a big fan of your videos hope you don't mind the above. As I'm sure you can guess I'm not a physicist 🙄

Hello! Oh, I definitely want to distance nuclear power from nuclear bombs haha. There is a perception that nuclear reactors are in fact no different from nuclear bombs and are just waiting for one wrong thing to happen before they start popping off with city-destroying sized explosions. My main gripe here is that the two explosions did have their starting points from a release of nuclear energy, but neither explosion was a sizeable release of nuclear energy. You could say the nuclear energy was the primer or something like that. But, the first explosion was from water turning to steam and exploding - no different in principle from an old steam locomotive blowing up from too much pressure. A rapid rise in nuclear energy precipitated the water turning to steam but the first explosion was not solely due to a nuclear energy release - unlike a nuclear bomb where all the energy released is from a nuclear process. The second explosion was also not at all related to a nuclear energy release - it was in all likelihood a hydrogen explosion. But again you can trace its origins back to the rapid increase of nuclear power in the reactor - it wouldn't have happened without that but the vast majority of energy released in these explosions was not of the nuclear kind. Yes, the explosions spread around tons of radioactive debris - I'm not questioning that. And then semantically, bombs are deliberately designed weapons of war. I think saying accidents are like bombs is a good way to draw attention to some news story but it's in bad taste, in my opinion. Nuclear accidents are bad enough without creating this perception of bombs and such.
