Thank you. Yes, a lot of people including myself totally missed the turn to the right at 21:24. Someone busted through the ribbon, but it was still well marked. I just blindly followed another racer that way. Definitely my mistake. 39:30 was just a muddy tough area. It was destined to be a backup. Not sure why race courses put that kind of thing in the course. Not fun! The pit options were terrible at this race. The course did not come anywhere near the parking area except for at the main check, which is why I parked next to the port a potties. It was the closest spot I could do a battery swap. It was a terrible setup for spectators as well. It was hard for me to get through the spectators safely to get to my pit spot. I had between 35-45% battery after the 2nd lap. Probably could have done a 3rd lap on that battery, but swapped to be safe since I had 2 spare batteries this race. Probably would have been better to make the 3rd lap each time and avoid the 2nd battery swap. The race was 2 hours, and I did not know how long the laps would be. If they were 7 or 8 miles, that could have been a 30 minute lap time, which could be a 2:30 race depending on when the overall person comes in. If that was the case, one GoPro battery would not be enough. Turns out the laps were 5 miles and it was not an issue. But I swapped out the front GoPro battery just in case. I figured I would let the back one run down if needed, since it is a lot harder to swap. It was a big swamp! LOL I did get stuck for a moment. It was a tough section for sure!
