What is your advise about wheel width for ultra distance, mainly on road but sometimes on soft gravel road ? I’m looking for good carbon wheels for ultra, 700c, hand made by a local shop. Road first and 650 after for more gravel trip...

Alu frame more comfortable than carbon???

I m not agree with this point too :) Very not.

@@thomasarrabito1674 this is based on 500 hours of riding non stop on carbon frame and 1000 hours of riding 6 days a week on aluminium frames. Of course, it can vary from one bike brand to another but it gives an overall idea to the public on how the fiber works.

I'm guessing tubeless all the way?
@AxelCarionexplorer
@AxelCarionexplorer 4 жыл бұрын
That would be the ideal choice if you go above 30mm tires. I'm riding with tubes when it's 100% tarmac roads as I own a pair of wheels that are not tubeless ready. For the rest, I'm always riding tubeless

@AxelCarionexplorer
@AxelCarionexplorer 3 жыл бұрын

@@BikingMan so you don't work you just ride your bike all day lol you living on the flats. It's become a problem with some bikes going down mountain side an on gravel bikes. 11000 usa bikes were recalled over this problem won't say which bike company but carbon can have its weaknesses it has its strengths to but carbon can have air pockets in its making which can cause its weaknesses. Carbon can be strong one way but and be weak when stressed another way. So you need a new bike 800000 km is 40 years of driving in most cars lol 😂 🤣
