Real Men Real Style I agree with the list. Two things that I would move down are jewelry, which can be a negative if used as a statement, and the vehicle. Many millionaires drive a less than 10 yr. old Camry. Modern and clean works.

It's not about vocabulary, its ideas. If you do not possess the capacity to think creatively on the fly then all the words in the world are not going to help you. The cleverest people I have worked with use small words and short concise sentencing.

All good points, as a thrifty spender I have bought several designer jackets, trousers, and shoes for pennies on the dollar. And while being in the military this makes a HUGE statement when you dress well. When you meet the next BN/BDE CDR at the social and you are dressed well it sets you apart from your peers.

John Lee military (army/marines) teaches you to dress sharp, have your uniform or well proportionate fitting clothes. Also staying in shape and be well shaven and having a sharp haircut.

This is great! I totally agree and think a lot of the list is related. Confidence is vital and wealth is nice... wealth in family, friends, home, vehicle etc. Your passion should motivate you and if you are blessed, the rest will follow and making time for health is time well spent.

@@nonstopbg My mentor, (ex-CFO of Toyota) tells me that life isn't fair. This isn't clown stuff when it actually has an effect on how people perceive you. One develops an "executive presence", as my mentor puts it; it's more about showing respect to yourself and attention to detail in how you dress, and mostly about how you express confidence with your body language.

@@billysinge8977 GG is one of my favorites, if not my main style home. I actually found RMRS after them. Raphael's (and now Preston's too) knowledge of Vintage style is fantastic! I think Antonio is a great midpoint between GG's Vintage and Alpha M's edgy.

I agree with the tech thing you mentioned. When an older individual has an old phone, I do think they're behind the times. However, it is equally bad to be an older individual with the newest and flashiest iPhone, but no clue how to use it. Both send signals that you are beyond the times, even if you are using top-tier technology.

Very often...it's the little things that matter...that lead to the bigger things.. And..you are absolutely right. 'social circles'. You are often judged..and influenced by your friends & associates. Choose wisely and don't feel guilty if you have to walk away from some of them who are negative.

If you don't keep up with technology, it will kill you in the end. I've observed some over 60's who have skipped keeping up on current technology, only to find their lack of knowledge to be incredibly detrimental to their daily lives.

All the people who I do business with don’t need know my title. They come to me for answers and to get what they want. I never put my title or my degrees in my signature block for emails. They all know who I am. I am one of very few who wears a suit in the office. Even my boss and his boss do not. When I wear one I get noticed by my clients and they listen to what I have to say. To be honest it feels real good when you are in a position to make things happen for people because they come to you for answers.

I'm laughing at the phone comments. I'm 60 and most of my peers have newish smart phones and have no clue how to use most of the features. I'm a retired assembly language programmer (if you don't know what that means, you know less than squat about technology) and I carry a flip phone. Why? It works. I have no need or desire to check my email while I'm dining with friends.

I usually don’t invest much on shoes. Except! My Allen Edmonds, it is common to get compliments on those shoes. I rarely get compliments on my Omega watch, but plenty when I wear a cheep, thin, and simple watch with an alligator strap.

TheBooban Funny things happened... my neighbor tried to impress me with his new Breitling. At that time I have not known the brand and was not impressed at all. Same guy bought a fake Rolex from me because he thought to know it better how a real one looks like. 🤣 Other guy is a collector. I told him that watches are out of fashion. He said that everyone is wearing expensive watches (5 digits and up) and the internet is full of watch sites and commercials. I told him: „The people you know are collectors too and it is only *your* internet that is full of expensive watches.“. His answer: „Oh! Forgot that!“.

not mercedes perse. if you but a A/cla/gla i rather have a bike. those 3 cars are extremely shit for a mercedes. and some engines being 100% renault and some mercedes engines are a colabriation of renault/nissan/mercedes.

These things are achievable only if you have money... If you have money you can join a great gym, have a qualified trainer, afford quality supplements, shoes, suits etc.. But for those who aren't at that level they have to do focus on nothing but work... When you are committed to something it is difficult to focus on these things... Bill gates is not a great looking guy but who cares...instead of looking successful focus on being successful...

Shame about your examples of ‘good shoes’. Maybe have a look at some of the Northampton manufacturers shoes in black or dark calf leather. Well looked after but nothing flashy is best. They often look better with age.

I very disagree with the technology point. While yes, it is important to take care of your phone or your computer, to not have it dirty or broken etc, it's also important to know how to use technology, but only extremely shallow people would think less of you just because you don't have the newest Iphone and only fools care about what shallow people think of them. + You said you drive a 22yo car, doesn't that apply there too???

well, basically only one real thing is a confidence. Vehicle, technologies etc its just an accesories which can help you feel more confident, things by itselfs gives yours nothing... weak video this time...

Confidence goes a hella long way. Think your TI would be half as effective if he wasn't confident? Absolutely not. Think you can lead -- not just manage -- if you can't be confident in your actions? Not by a long shot. Stand/sit up straight, keep eye contact, and stand by your decisions; and of course, be willing to accept criticism and adapt your plan accordingly.
