Welcome to Top10Archive! As we return to our trip around the globe, we’re stopping in a rather revered country, one that many wished to see. As we digitally travel to The Land Down Under, we're going to meet 300 jolly surfers, we'll see what mum has got cookin' for all of your Wally siblings, we'll yabber about some Boomers, and we promise, there isn't a Buckley's chance you'll be disappointed. This video, as Australians would call it, is the Dinky-di.

Ok I'm from Melbourne and I'm gonna point out everything wrong with this video. (1) Steve Irwin didn't "personify" Australia, he was the only Aussie stupid enough to wrestle a crocodile for entertainment. (2) It's not "Blue Mountain" it's "The Blue Mountains". (3) The gold rush initially occurred in Bathurst NSW, but it only lasted around 6 months. The actual gold rush the every Australian knows about occurred in Ballarat in Victoria. (4) At Gallipoli we lost 15000 men, not 8000. (5) Learn how to pronounce; Aussie, Canberra and Melbourne. (6) We also invented wifi. (7) England deported around 2000 convicts in 1788, which if my maths is right is more the 763. (8) Do more research, and maybe come to Australia to do it rather than use Wikipedia.

Honestly, it's just embarrassing when people try to speak like an Australian and end up searching a bunch of words that barely anyone uses. Tip for Americans reading this: We don't use most of the words that people think we use. Just talk normally, only making some A's into AR's (e.g. F-ar-st, not f-a-st)

Dom Fuller I could say how bloody wrong, stupid and childish your statement is, but I'm not going to waste precious time. What I'm going to say though is that there is much more to our country than dumb slang. And knowing and saying all of it doesn't make you any better of a person or any more Australian. If your born here you're Australian end of story, and we Australians should be proud, for we have the privilege to live in such a beautiful country. That is all.

Ben Lowe We do this for every country we cover, which has been about 40 countries now. The only 2 countries/audiences to get offended is Australia and England - coincidence? ;) If you think all we do is "grab the first things we see from Google", then why aren't you make videos? If it's so easy, then the jokes on you that you aren't doing it as well, right? These videos are 10 minutes or less, we can't cover EVERYTHING there is to know, because if we did, the video would be an hour long, and the attention span on KZfaq is roughly 3 minutes..

it's very unprofessional to reply to people that get mad at you. A lot of the slang you used people from over here have never heard of, doubt anyone is actually offended by any of this. old mate's just pointing out anyone with slight knowledge of Australia would know pretty much all of this stuff if you think it's worth making a video on put some decent facts in it

Ummmm... as an Aussie asking other Aussies, who the far east says something is bloody "dinky D"? this video is already the least Aussie thing I have ever seen... and I am 35 seconds in... Outback Steak house (to my understanding) is one of the least Aussie things out there, the creators have never even been to Australia and they even admit it also if you call us au-SS-ies you will get punched out probably... it is pronounced au-ZZ-ie What about the Drop Bears? no mention of them....

I'm an Aussie myself, just came back home to Melbourne from 6 weeks overseas in the US, Mexico and Belize. While I was in the states, I tried the Dropbear joke on some Yanks, and they didn't have a bloody clue!!! Talk about hilarious! Also, I have to say, the food and drink is way better in Oz than the States, we've got generally nicer people, and we live in a much safer society, and yet the Yanks try to take the piss out of us by putting this video up with an accent so bad I had to have subtitles on to understand it?

+toddles9 haha, I bet! I've never had authentic Australian food, but I figured Outback wouldn't scratch the surface, lol. Here in America, we ruin every kind of traditional food.. even the real authentic "ma and pa" restaurants will "Americanize" their food just to stay competitive. Hopefully nobody from Italy comes around and makes me eat my own words, but I think the closest thing we have to any traditional food would be Italian food at Olive Garden. Our Mexican food here is a joke, Chinese food is almost entirely "Americanized".. don't be mad at us Americans, we know the corporations ruin authentic food :p
