Just started my junior year of college and coming back to these videos gives me a nostalgia I've never had. Not a hack, but the right thing to do- catch your shower warm-up water in a bucket and use it for other things (instead of wastefully let it run down the drain into the sewer). At the least, dump it on some plants/lawn outdoors. Or use wherever you would need clean cold water. I take the lid off my toilet when flushing, and use the saved water to refill the tank.

The plastic bag holder was awesome! I've done something similar with toilet paper. Basically you stuff a toilet paper roll into a container that is close to the same diameter as the roll (the IKEA metal cylindrical containers work well but I've also used the plastic containers that holds nuts). Then you maneuver the cardboard roll out and pull out the toilet paper from the center. What you have is a toilet paper roll dispenser! As a teacher, I brought this to class because I refused to buy tissue paper for my students-- I never got to use tissues as a kid so why would my students get to? :) Anyway, they loved it and never again was I interrupted during class for tissues or the need to get toilet paper from the bathroom! Anyway, hope to see more lifehacks!

Plague Doctor I had to use toilet paper to blow my nose as a kid. It's not like I said my students had to blow their nose on their hands. I never understood why someone had to use tissue paper to blow their nose when toilet paper does the same thing. It collects snot. It doesn't need to massage your nose. Plus tissue paper costs way more than toilet paper... our school only provided one box of tissues which was gone within a few days. I had a teacher's salary and 100's of kids-- it'd cost me a small fortune to supply my students with tissue paper vs. toilet paper. And at least I cared to provide toilet paper... some teachers told the students they were out of luck and to bring tissues in the future. Before you resort to calling me a jealous bitch and assume I'm not giving quality education to my students, you should really ask questions first. My students loved me as a teacher and they loved what I taught them and appreciated that I took the time to create powerpoints, labs, and worksheets for them. I even showed them a variety of relevant KZfaq videos to supplement their education. I even MADE them videos which I've posted on my XoletteScience channel. Not a lot of teachers would spend the several extra hours to create videos for their kids. And as I mentioned, my students thought my toilet paper dispenser was great and I went through one roll a week. As for you, Plague Doctor, I'm sad no one has taught you how to properly speak to strangers or how to adequately judge a person. I hope that before you ramble insults you'll make sure to ask questions first before making the wrong assumptions.

I never knew about the gas guage and love the lost phone photo idea. I just learned a couple years ago that people eat the skin of the kiwi so I tried it. I thought it would be weird because it looks "fuzzy" but it is not - it tastes really good! Just be sure to wash the fruit first (as always). However, if you need to peel it, this is a great way to do it. I use a spoon for avocado too.

1 - Airplane mode turns off cell phone service. 2 - I've never pulled up to a gas station wrong. 3 - Pringles are very good and expensive. I don't want to burn good tasting money. 4- I imagine that is very finicky. The spoon will probably go through the outside peeling. 5- Super cheesy. Just go to lock screen settings and enter your "owner info" (android) 6 - Will only work for a few weeks out of the year. The cold water is ground temperature and the ground temperature changes all throughout the year. 7- Don't ruin a perfectly good shirt, just use double stick tape. 8- Don't be an idiot and learn to use plastic wrap. Also, was there a need to use pre-cut plastic wrap for the *fixed* version? 9- Works until you move in the night which will be right after you fall asleep. 10- You might do it a few times then get bored and stop because it takes too long. Just get a plastic bag holder. These tips sure were life changing but not for the good.

my take on these: not all cars have that indicator arrow for the gas, if you let the charcoals heat up sufficiently there is no lighter fluid smell/taste, kiwi skin tastes great why skin it, you can get the water to temp before turning on the shower, if you have a dual knob setup you can also keep the flow low(this will push cold water out of the pipes and it won't get you) then turn the pressure up, you could use a tie pin, leave the lid partially closed to prevent it coming out, cut a hole in a milk jug and just cram plastic bags in them.

Great stuff Grant. try this on the show. Using the pressurized coke bottle with valve stem, place 2 foot of pvc pipe over the rig. Now use another bottle with a nail at bottom which will penetrate the bottom bottle and wa la...you have a mortar launcher. it shoul be awesome
