Rocks are my nemesis. Thanks for your suggestions. Will try these techniques. I think using masking crayons and going back into the removed masking fluid makes it seem more natural.

Hello Karen, old friend. I've had many successes following your vids in the past. Loved the picture so I dove in! I used the edge of white crayon for thin sun lit branches in the upper left and a candle for the left sides of the trees. Both worked ok, but I wasn't crazy about the ripple effect with the candle. So I took a stiff cheap old brush (thanks to early use of masking fluid) and tried to soften the rippling and it helped! My favorite part is the trees made with the stick. I could do that for days so I must restrain myself! (Of course I learned the sharpened stick from you) The most challenging bit was the rocks. I could use more practice, indeed! Overall, I'm pleased with the result. Thank you, Karen Rice! So grateful for your channel!
