When something is very popular and successful, you'll see imitations of it crop up all the time. This is especially true of movies, and it seems to be even more the case when Disney does something popular. These sorts of movies that are like big hits but are usually done on a budget are known as mockbusters. And that is why, today, we are going to tell you about 10 Animated Movies That Copied Disney.
We'll be looking at how a film tried to capitalize on the success of "Brave," how another movie lifted the premise of "Up," and an animation that tried to follow in the footsteps of "Frozen." Stay tuned right until the end to find out how one film took the same twist that Disney gave to "The Princess and the Frog" to make their very own mockbuster. It may say that but there are different versions of the Snow Queen story, and both Frozen and The Snow Queen show different aspects of the original stories

@@patriciaduplinsky7844Duplinsky there is one original story the snow queen by Hans, the others after that are adaptations "inspired", that being said, according to what I can understand both Frozen and Snow Queen are different interpretations of the same story. That is what makes them both unique. Similarly to any Disney film ever, and then Once Upon a Time's versions of the same characters :) Just because it is based off the same thing, doesn't make it copies or rip-offs :(

I have to admit that "The Snow Queen" is not really a rip of from "Frozen". The story is completely different, but is based on the same story. In our school, we did the musical The Snow Queen. In that story, the Snow Queen really is the villain, how kidnaps a boy that accidentally gets a shard of her magic mirror in his eye. His best friend (I played her XD) goes to rescue him. It's completely different, but based on the same story, so I don't really think it's a ripoff. Maybe they didn't even know Disney based it off that story, or didn't even know they were doing that movie? Or they were planning on doing it before? Both stories are really wonderful, although I must say Disney did a better job at animating it.

The Snow Queen was actually a good movie. The plot was different and was focused more on adventure than talking to someone. I watched it before frozen came out and I actually prefer that movie to Frozen

Just so you know Snow Queen came out BEFORE FROZEN! It was a great movie I would efineatly reccomended it. I know they were both based on the FairyTale "The Snow Queen" But this story was an almost exact animated version of the story !

Eilyk totts actually frozen came out in 2013 while snow queen came out in 2012. Idk if u can’t subtract or whatever but that’s not 3 years. Also Disney took 4 years to create Frozen while the snow queen did it later. So, in the end, Disney had the idea first.

The snow queen came out before frozen as you said but I have seen both and the Snow Queen is way closer to the original story and should not be called a riff off. They are two completely different films.

I don't understand why do people compare the snow Queen and Frozen. Disney specifically said that they were simply *inspired* by the snow Queen. They didn't want to make the *remake* of it. The snow Queen is the remake. I probably think that Disney just couldn't figure out what superpower they should give to Elsa so they just gave her snow powers.

Kiara the Brave was released earlier (2011 vs 2012), so was Snow Queen (2012 vs 2013). Also, Snow Queen's plot is completely different. "Kiara the Brave" was released on the 11th of November 2011 (in India) and on the 19th of June 2012 (in the United States). The earliest "Brave" was released was on the 10th of June 2012 at a Seattle International Film Festival while its first teaser was released on June 27, 2011. Did you mean it was marketed for people who wanted to see "Brave" to watch by changing its title in the US--as you said, the plot isn't very similar? Also, "Snow Queen" came out at least 10 months earlier than Frozen (its earliest release was on the 31st of December 2012 while Frozen's earliest (at a film festival) was on the 10th of November 2013) and has a very different plot (for example, Frozen was originally pitched more as the origin story to the Snow Queen while the Snow Queen, the movie, is more inline with the plot of the original source material)

I think the research on this channel was horrible and in the "worst disney sequel" someone said it's not "the worst disney sequel" it was "never been as good as the original sequel" and some of the movies in the video was actually good and in the other channel some of them was categorized as the best disney sequel
