Well said bro!!! I've been collecting watches for almost 40 years and I can totally agree with that statement. I do have a super rare Rolex and an Accutron, and even some really pricey Seiko's and G-Shock's, but I find that they are too delicate or too expensive to wear daily, so they almost never get used. I'm going to sell my rare Rolex and get a couple of higher end "budget" watches, like a Ball and a few others. But I'm going to have to probably spend $2+k on the Rolex to get it fixed, so I can sell it for $15,000+. Anyway, I'm getting off point. My Citizen Promaster BN0150-28E I got for $105 on Amazon years ago, and a few HQ titanium Maratac watches, and some G-Shock's are usually my EDC watches. They're cheap enough that they wouldn't cost a fortune to replace, are way more durable than an expensive automatic or hand wound watch, and look good for work AND play/casual/formal. I mean sure I'd love to have a real AP Royal Oak or Home Oak, or a real PP Nautilus, but I'd be terrified to wear them, even indoors. For around $150 maximum (USD), you can get a brand new Casio GA-B2100 with Tough Solar and Bluetooth and have an infinitely more durable watch, that NEVER needs wound or the time reset. And with the numerous mod kits on Amazon and eBay, you can make it look like the AP Royal Oak or Home Oak or a PP Nautilus, as i mentioned above, for around $125 maximum. Or a kit that makes it look like the more expensive GM-B2100 metal series. So for less than $300 USD you have a very close resemblance to those 3 models and something that's way tougher and won't need maintenanced anytime soon. I specifically talk about the G-Shock GA-B2100 Series with Tough Solar and Bluetooth because I have a couple of them and love them. And with the mod kits, they do look like the much more expensive real versions i mentioned above. I've ALWAYS been an analog watch guy, so for me to tell time from an all digital display (DW-5600 & GW-M5610) is downright boring and I just don't get a "sense" of the time like I do with an analog watch. However, the GA-2100 & GA-B2100 changed that completely for me and broke the mold. Anyway, as much as I love staring at those really really expensive Rolex, Tudor, Omega, AP, Patek Philippe, etc, I'll never own one. And for the reasons others listed, i quit watching Teddy and Mr. Wonderful watch videos because their idea of budget watches are like a Tudor Black Bay hahaha 😂 And the BEST watch for you, is the one ON your wrist. So get what you can afford without getting a divorce or being homeless 😂

Yes, the crown and caseback is signed. I was strictly talking about the dial. I meant text on the dial, very few entry level brands make them like that. I'm very impressed with it

It has a screw down crown and caseback. Take it in the sea, swimming pool, shower, bath tub, wherever. It will be fine. Genuine diving capabilities are somewhat of a novelty. 99.9% of people who own a dive watch won't ever go deeper than 10ft. 😂

I know right, Quartz is just awful! Tells very accurate time, never needs winding, much cheaper, lighter, thinner... Quartz is one of the best innovations in watchmaking. A lot of quartz movements are better than the entry level Seikos/Miyotas/Seagulls mechanicals in so many ways.

@@TopTierTicker don’t kid yourself. If you wanted accurate time, convenience and ease of use, you would wear a smart watch or a Fitbit instead. Engineering such small, precise pieces is an art. On top of it, the fact that these machines, in order to work, get their power from winding them or from your wrist moving is something I find bonding and special. A quartz watch doesn’t need you, a mechanical watch does.
