Here is the much anticipated, 10-Step Setup Before You Fly beginners video. This is part 1 of 2 videos releasing this week. If you are familiar with DJI products, this will be nothing new to you so feel free to skip this one. I created this video for new DJI drone beginner pilots. These are the 10 steps I took when setting up my Mavic Mini. In video 2, I take you outside and walk you through the process I took when preparing for First Flight. Enjoy.
Note: Small oversight on the video. To charge the remote control, simply unplug the cord from the side of the remote, and charge the remote using the Micro USB cord to wall outlet power source.

Excellent video. I really appreciate the level of detail. When experts do instructions for beginners they often leave out things that are second nature, such as specifically how to remove the gimbal cover. Your video gave me what I needed to know.

Hello Aldryn, thank you very much for this video and 2nd part of this video as well. Very well put together and pretty comprehensive on the overview of what is in the box and what we should be doing for flight prep. I used this and the next video to make the decision on purchasing this drone. Got the drone a few weeks back and used your notes in the video to get myself and the drone ready for first flight.

New Drone Pilot... and thanks. Getting the firmware update gave me control over the video settings and more. I've enjoyed and learned much from your vids. I'm a professional photographer wanting to add quad shots to my repertoire. You should do one on the DJI Simulator... pretty cool, and some of the sims they have will make you know you need to practice!

Yes! I was nervous you needed cellular all the time. Which wouldn’t work for me where I want to fly. Glad it works!

Just watched your video. June 30, 2021. After getting the DJI Fly app to work, after two try’s everything feel into place. Had a DJI Phantom 2 years ago. With a GoPro 2.. only got about a dozen flights before issues came about, $1,200 down the drain. Nothing wrong with the Phantom just the Gimbal issue. Gave it to another flyer. This looks like a winner. Now to learn all the settings, functions etc. Thanks for posting. Dan in Longview Washington USA

I really like your presentation without the gimmicks and BS. Watched this before my first flight the information was invaluable and much appreciated. I must ad one comment that is never mentioned but I observed is make sure your fingers and screen on your phone are clean! When in the sunlight the prints obscure the screen and is very annoying.

aziz aladwani the presentation seemed very quick to me why do they have to speak at 100 mph as though they are a firefighter and have to attend an emergency or something and have to squeeze in a 30 min video into a 20 min video! This video is aimed at the newcomer and surely things should be explained at a nice leisurely pace and things that way will not be missed out! Just a thought!
