My next car I’m gonna get a mk3 seat Leon fr 1.5 tsi evo 150bhp going from a 1.2 corsa 80bhp I think that’s a sensible sporty upgrade cheap on insurance too

Audi S3 8L imo one of the best looking hot hatches ever produced, & so much more special with it's unique arches compared with dull modern S3's after that.

@@raccs600 yes, but I would still give the 8L the crown, as the S3 version was more special than the 8P one, due to the wider arches than the standard A3 at the time.

Just bought a CRZ GT for around 3k and that was An amazing purchase! Defo a safe, fun car that is sensible too for anyone needing something in this price range

Happy Birthday JB! I feel bad for watching this a day late now... Surprising that the EP3 is still so cheap, considering its status, but from this list I'd take the BMW all day, that 330Ci Clubsport is pretty much peak BMW for me. That said, all the reasonably-priced ones have moon mileage so they would definitely need a refurb, some modern coilovers, brakes and a bit of a refresh on the engine (plus possibly a subtle-ish exhaust).

Also most people don't adjust the shims on the ep3 and anything with a k20 engine so they can sound quite tappy.

I really like that you're so in to your hot hatches, and underneath the surface a bit of a VW fan boy. I've got a 2015 6C GTI, flash red, lowered on AP coilovers, black wheels, miltek, MD rear spoiler, tartan seats, Alcantara covered steering wheel, manual. I absolutely love the speed and handling of it and made a decision to go for this over a Mk6 GTI, because of the power to weight ratio. I'm in Oxford and if you ever want to have a drive, for a video or just because, let me know. I've only ever owned VWs. I've had a Mk2 Golf 1.3 with 1990 GTI bits, a 1.4 Polo 6N2, a Bora 2 litre "sport", a Bora TDI 130 with a clutch, SMIC and hybrid turbo running 210bhp and now the Polo. I've driven a 1.4 Mk4 Golf, a Mk5 1.4 S, a Mk5 GTI, Mk6 TDI bluemotion, 1.6 A3, Seat Alteca 150,.. think that's it. But I absolutely love VAG group cars and my next car will be a 2.0 265bhp S3 I think.

Just started watching this the vw scirocco must be in here I bought mine 12 years ago 18 months old £15500 but today a good one under 5k mine as 74k miles full service never failed a mot 210 bhp standard not super fast but good for 150 done once . If drive well I get an average of 38mpg average

Fabia VRS mk1 is slept on. Brilliant laugh, boost lag then suddenly all the torque at 2k revs, very silly and fun cars with very little spent on mods to make them ‘quick’

The 1.8t BAM and PD170 engines are the best for tuning in my opinion between petrol and diesel 👌🏻🤌🏻

I used to have a Nogaro blue s3 8l. It was a really cool car got a lot of attention but honestly it spent more time broken than working. When it was working it was not nice to drive at all, I am a taller guy and it gave me awful back pain plus I was looking at the roof not out the windscreen. It’s hard to describe but I’ve owned a lot of vag cars and compared to a lot of other vag cars the s3 8l is out together and drives like shit. I have three friends that all share the same opinion on these cars and only know 1 mate who enjoyed owning one. Another thing about these cars parts are extremely expensive there is one guy that breaks them and he charges alot of money for anything this guy also shares my opinion and even though he owns hundreds of them he doesn’t like these cars.

It'll need a check over but there are so many GTIs that have done more than 150k miles, and parts aren't that bad compared to many other cars so slightly cheaper if things do go wrong

It's just footage of the right cars, you can get a Clubsport for £5k, albeit it perhaps a ropey one, so it's valid for the video (and if I wanted a £5k car, it might be top of that list...just with £10k of mods).
