The year 2010 seems to many of us like it was only a couple of years ago, and so it makes us a little sad to realise that things like Inception, Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream album, and the first season of The Walking Dead are all over a decade old. You know what will cheer us up though? Remembering all of the brilliant video games from the year 2010, of course! Here are the 10 Best Games of 2010!

Damn, I remember when there were so many good games I couldn't afford them all in their year of release... now you're lucky to get 1 or 2 "must plays" in 12 months... my how far the industry has fallen

@@Honest_Grifter bro these were the days when my dad would rent a couple games every couple weeks from hastings video for cheap. there were no shortage of good games to choose from. im convinced 2007-2012 was the golden age of gaming and its been all down hill from there. my dad doesnt even have fun with most games anymore.

What about ModNation Racers? In my Opinion one of the best Kart Racers ever made and a forgotten PS3 Gem. It combined The Creativity Aspect of Little Big Planet with the Kart Racing Genre for Example Mario Kart. And it actually had a Story. Sadly the Online Servers were Shutdown are few Days ago tho…

Fallout: New Vegas ended up being one of the best games of 2010 after it got patched. Alas its buggy state at launch cost it review score.

Reach is my second favorite halo game second only to combat evolved (mostly due to nostalgia) but the mechanics, the design, and the story are all fantastic. Many hours spent playing on a tiny tube TV while I was in college... Man I'm getting old

Hopefully once I get my Win Max 2 I can finally try out Red Dead Redemption (last PC had an i7-4820K quad-core CPU when you really need 6 cores to emulate PS3 games).

Probably the biggest gaming year for me, in terms of hours button bashing. Final year at uni and the global economic crisis meaning piss all jobs going upon graduation. So the Xbox360 got battered until the red ring of death ruined me in late 2010.

Such a shame Bayonetta on the PS3 was so inferior, with its poor frame rate and endless loading screens. And we haven't even got the sequels

How do you think 2010 was anywhere near now? I'm older than you (My first gaming experience was Boothill), and 2010 feels like an alien world. One I miss.

@@currychips Kid, look up Boothill. It's an arcade game. Once it gives you a rough idea how old I am, answer why I'd want to go back to 1988? If I was going to ignore how stupid and hate-filled we used to be, I'd at least want a Vectrex out of the deal. Plus a Starpath Supercharger. And an Astrocade that didn't self-destruct. And a chance to watch Flash Gordon on the big screen. Edit: Hell, I'd also want to check out movies I didn't see in theaters on the first go round. Superman II, Ghostbusters, Transformers: The Movie, Nightmare on Elm Street 3...maybe a wrestling event, before there was PPV.

A great year for gaming, but where is New Vegas? The best Fallout game!! I can't find the site Gamerankings if that's a site but Metacritic has it at 84 but I guess it has to be in the 90s. And Red Dead Redemption, I will never forget the big crossing into Mexico part in it.

Red Dead Redemption = Grand Theft Horseo. It's a fantastic game though, which you can only play if you have the disk version on PS3 now :(

@@McGeezle First of all, I'm more of a PlayStation guy, but I even think Halo is a masterpiece that can compete with PlayStation 3 exclusives. Halo Reach, in particular, is an absolute masterpiece and the last good Halo game. It's no wonder it was among the best games of 2010.
