I came across your video and i keep smiling every time your parents enjoy filipino dishes that you actually cooked. You amazed me because you can cook filipino dishes. I have a dutch brother in law and he is also fond of eating fil dishes like torta (ground pork mixed with egg and then fry) and he is fond of filipino spaghetti because of its sweetness. How nice. Your parents are lucky to have you. You really do know how to take care of them through food regardless of the type of dish. It's almost always a date you made for them. For Filipinos, there is the emphasis on family first or take care of your elderly family members. However, in the west, there's this almost stereotype that the sense of family (care and love) is not really a thing where children would leave their elderly parents in homes for the aged til they waste away. But this vlog defies that stereotype because clearly, the familial bond shown in this video is very heartwarming. The son taking care of his parents which is really he is giving back for the care his parents gave him from the moment he was born.

You are a good son to cook for older parents. Parents especially the mother took care of us have sleepless nights etc etc. children now just care about what they can get from the parents instead if what they can do to repay their parents for all the sacrifices they did.

Also you need to try cooking OKOY. it is comprise of Bean sprouts, shrimp, squash or zucchini, onions rice flour, cornstarch, yellow food color(Optional) and deep fried until brown..

pancit is actually a general name for noodles. bihon in tagalog (which is really a chinese language from hokkien) is the name for the specific noodles. mihon is also a chinese language for the same type of noodles.
