There is no country in this planet under the name Macedonia. Its either the Republic of North Macedonia or the Hellenic Kingdom of Makedonia. The reason behind that is to distinguish the newly formed North Republic of Macedonia from the Greek Makedonia homeland of King Alexander his egacy!!!

@@bubakostadinova9285 Makedonia was and will be Greek. Come to Makedonia in Greece to the archaeological sites and you will see. your ancestors came to the area in 600-700AD. so you have nothing to do with the Makedonians who were Dorians one of the ancient Greek races.

This is the exact Prespes agreement. Suck it up and go to sleep. Article 1 provides that the nationality of North Macedonia shall be ‘Macedonian/citizen of the Republic of North Macedonia’. Further, the language of North Macedonia shall be the ‘Macedonian language’, a name already recognised by the Third UN Conference on the Standardisation of Geographical Names, held in Athens in 1977 (Arts 1.3.b and c). However, Article 7 of the Agreement explicitly qualifies the use of the terms ‘Macedonia’ and ‘Macedonian’ under Article 1. According to the Agreement, the history and culture of Greece and the Greek region of Macedonia, from antiquity to the present day, are ‘distinctly different’, from that of North Macedonia. And for the avoidance of doubt, Article 7.4 explicitly specifies that the Macedonian language is within the group of South Slavic languages and that all attributes of North Macedonia ‘are not related to the ancient Hellenic civilisation, history, culture and heritage of the northern region of Greece’. In other words, citizens of North Macedonia may call themselves Macedonians and their language Macedonian, but they may no longer claim to be the ‘sons and heirs’ of Alexander the Great. Beautiful Film but there is so much more to see and enjoy in the country. Veles, Stip, Berovo, Strumica, Lake Dojran, Bebar and Debar Lake, ancient town of Stobi, Pelister national Park, the Negotino and Kavadarci wine regions Etc...too many to mention. It is absolutely a wonderful country. Oh and the food and wine are great!!!

I had the pleasure of visiting Skopje and Lake Ohrid. Many places from the video are related to the Ohrid lake shore. I would like to see the rest of Macedonia as well.

In Scopja square , if you've been, there is an Alexander's statue with this tablet which i read it: "This is a statue of a Greek hero(Alexander) which belongs to the Greek history "

Well, Real Macedonia 🇬🇷 is the region of Northern Greece, used to be the ancient Greek Kingdom This yugo-country used to be Vardarska 🇲🇰 until 1945 and Paeonia in antiquity and have nothing to do with the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedonia 🇬🇷. I'm a historian ikr 👍

I thought it was a region part of Bulgaria. Reading history books it says it's been Bulgaria for hundreds of years and now suddenly Macedonia. I thought Greeks had an empire Macedonia. Even their language is Bulgarian.
