One of the best trips we ever took was spending three days in Krakow. Amazing city, history, neighborhoods, great food, definitely a top destination in Poland and in all of Europe for that matter.

Yeah... but when visiting Poland it is good to check if the chosen place is inside one of the anti-lgbt zones that has been recently created.

@@lukmisz uhm....but that doesn't matter at all. Those ,,Anti-LGBT zones" doesn't do and regulate anything for anyone who is either living or visiting the city, it is just form of declaration from the city/region that it is not supporting the rainbow movement, fight for LGBT rights or however it is called. It might still be wrong, I am not judging that, but lying about it and considering it as something dangerous for the visitors is just not right. You can still visit any city and region in Poland even if you are not heterosexual and you don't need worry

@@kamilp7450 Your last sentence is more or less "We don't treat you with respect, but come to us and spend your money" - interesting logic. No, it is not 'just' declaration if it affects your everyday life. Imagine that you're going on vacation with a bigger group of friends and it turns out that you see a sticker "not for lgbt" at the restaurant door - do you leave outside those of you who are lgbt? Repression is repression, just like the shops "not for Jews" in the past. Needless to say, twin cities from across Europe suspended their partnerships with polish towns from these zones, so frankly speaking people see this as a problem and something unacceptable.

@@lukmisz First of all: comparing German Nazi signs ,,not for Jews" and declarations about not supporting LGBT movements by the authorities (which is exactly what those ,,anti LGBT zones" are - they do not hold any law meaning and regulations for any people) is absolutely ridiculous. ,,Not for Jews" signs were firstly targeted against people, while the ,,Anti LGBT zones" talk only about the movements supporting additional LGBT rights. They are not meant to offend LGBT people directly or to take away their rights to normally live in the society or enter the buildings. Sure - it might be quite disrespectful behaviour to try to openly kind of discriminate the movement and some certain political views, and that is why I am against them, but it is still not even close to ,,not for Jews" signs and it is not so big tragedy as everyone says it is. It is bad, but not that bad. Second of all - as I stated already a few times - it doesn't affect anyone's everyday life. You can still live there without any worries no matter who you are, and you are protected by the Polish law just as anyone else. We are not Saudi Arabia where you are gonna get killed or beaten by the police and government for being different. Another thing - it is not surprise that others hate it. As I said - the zones are still not a good thing, and if those cities are ruled by liberals (which is the case in most of Europe) - then obviously they are gonna disagree with it just as they do with most stuff that Polish government tries to do - sometimes they may be right, but sometimes it is just an ideology and pure politics. In this case they are right, but at the same time they are making definitely too big deal out of that. And last thing - about your first sentence - you can come wherever you want, and if anyone feels offended by something happening in the country - then he doesn't need to come here if he doesn't want. It is your own choice to make. I just wanted to say that no one has to worry before visiting Polish cities and other places, and Poland always welcomes everyone who wants to come.

Been to Poland twice, Warsaw and Krakow loved the place and the super people. Definately going back. Grand parents had a Polish soldier billeted with them during the war, a real gentleman apparently.

I’ve always had the biggest fascination with Poland! Love the people, love the history, love the food. Growing up in Illinois, ive been exposed to quite a bit of Polish culture. I hear Polish just about every day at work. Would love to learn the language and visit someday.

I will say this, were it not for Poland and Poles, Europe would have been either Muslim or communist a long time ago. How many Poles died fighting in 1683 near Vienna or in 1920 holding back the huge Russian Red Army, in 1939 Poland was the only country that undertook an independent fight against Germany and Russia, at the same time suffering huge losses. Poland is one of the most distinguished countries in the world, and at the same time so underestimated by many.

A young couple visited me from Poland a few years ago. They traveled across America sharing pictures of our wild life and learning about the American people. They looked at our similarities and our differences and told me that they are smaller than the United States but they take care of what they have. I was welcomed by their positive personalities.

@@pawcioxx6143 A czy mozesz nadmienic jaki to kanal.Mysle ze gdyby wielu Polakow sie nie wysmiewalo z samych siebie to innaczej by nas inni traktowali. Niestety wciaz mozna zauwazyc w komentarzach wielu Polakow roznego rodzaju glupoty w internecie ze az przykro to czytac. Czesc mlodego dzisiejszego pokolenia pokazuje okropne zachowanie w stosunku do innych.Normalnie czytajac czasami cos takiego az mi wstyd.

I honestly think Poland will be a tourist hotspot in the near future. The country has everything. There are cities and places that look like they are 1000 years old, there are places that look like the soviet era and cities that look brand new all made of glass. There are 16 national parks including Europe’s only primeval forest, there is the coast with dozens of costal resorts and towns for the summer, there are the mountains with dozens of towns and ski resorts for the winter, there is a Lake District with nearly 2000 lakes, and lots and lots of history. There is also brand new infrastructure being built by 2030 Poland will be on par with Germany.

@@ruhulamin9513 It is one of the most damaged towns in poland. It was damaged i think 50%, but it was bombarbed by nazis but when the red army came they had to fight nazis, so the damge was inevitable.
