Niagara Falls vacations are most popular in July and August, so to avoid crowds, plan on going in late spring and early fall. Arrive early in summer to avoid long waits.
It is estimated that around 13 million people visit Niagara Falls each year, with numbers increasing all the time. Some come just to take a quick snap, whereas others stay to explore everything Niagara has to offer.
Around 15,000 years ago, southern Ontario was pure ice and not much else. As the last Ice Age began to change, around 12,000 years ago, new landscapes and rivers were formed from the glaciers. When this happened, Niagara River was created and, shortly after, Niagara Falls was born.
Niagara Falls is not just one giant waterfall, actually there are three in total. The American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Canadian (Horseshoe) falls, from far left to right. The name ‘Niagara Falls’ is just a collective name for all three of the waterfalls together.

Day 1 - Buffalo Niagara Airport is the nearest airport. It is 25-30 mins ride to Niagara Falls. You can reach by driving your own car, by bus through trip packages, by rental car or by an Uber/Lyft ride from Buffalo Airport and so on. First thing is to decide where to stay
1. First attraction in the list is - The Maid of the Mist
One of the most popular attractions is 20 mins Maid of the Mist Boat cruise, which takes visitors right into the falls. We have already taken the tickets online; boarding pass will be available from the ticket counter at Prospect Street. Opens from 9 am and close at 8 pm. 2. Second attraction in the list is Niagara Falls USA Prospect Point Observation Tower
After The Maid of the Mist boat tour, you can spend some time in Observation Deck for taking photos and videos.
3. Third - Niagara Falls State Park which was established in 1885 around 138 year back spread over 221 acres is located in the City of Niagara Falls in Niagara County, New York, United States.
4. Forth in the list is a guided Niagara Falls Scenic Trolley, gives passengers an overview of the park and offers historical narrations, fun facts, and tips for checking out the park's most popular attractions.
6. Sixth attraction is Niagara Falls State Park fireworks show:
There is something remarkable about a Niagara Falls State Park fireworks show, which you can experience throughout the year when you visit the Falls.
7. Seventh attraction the World Changed Here Pavilion - Check out the World Changed Here Pavilion to learn about the falls before making your descent to the Niagara Gorge for Cave of the Winds trip.
8. Eighth in the list is The Cave of the Winds. The Cave of the Winds trip takes you closer to the waters of Niagara Falls than you thought possible.
9. Nineth attraction is Terrain Point. After Cave of the Winds, you can go to the Terrapin Point. It is one of popular viewpoints in Niagara Falls State Park located in Goat Island.
10. 10th in the list is Top of the Falls Restaurant. As the only restaurant overlooking Niagara Falls, Top of the Falls Restaurant offers visitors to Niagara Falls State Park a one-of-a-kind dining experience.
Food and Shopping: You will find plenty of restaurants, food trucks, carts near Niagara Falls. All types of food are available, Indian, Chinese, American Mexican etc. for very nominal rates. We tried street food and also had lunch buffet from International Buffet located near to our hotel.
You'll find a wide range of Niagara Falls souvenirs, gifts, books and more to help you remember your vacation of a lifetime. Niagara Falls State Park's gift shops, Stores in Nagara center and shops in the street offer a wide selection of official merchandise.
Street Music: You can find throughout the park and street lot of musicians performing diverse range of music. We can also watch concerts conducting by varies music bands around the Niagara Falls area.
International Buffet: International Buffet offers a variety of food from traditional Indian dishes to brick oven pizza. Within walking distance of Niagara Falls State Park.
Casino in Niagara, Schoellkopf Power Plant and Three Sisters Islands are the other attractions which we could not cover during our visit due to time constrain. These all attractions are nearby Niagara Falls State Park.
