SUMMARIES:
- The hula burger, which consisted of a slice of grilled pineapple with two slices of American cheese on a bun.
- McDonald's onion nuggets were made from little clumps of diced onions that were battered and deep-fried. They were basically the same as onion rings but in little bite-sized pieces.
- The McDonald's chicken fajitas were released alongside the breakfast burrito in the early '90s and landed on the popular dollar menu.
- In the late '80s, McDonald's attempted to break into the pizza industry with the McPizza.
- The McLean Deluxe was a burger designed to contain significantly less fat than the regular patty, with claims that it was up to 91% fat-free.
- Imagine chicken nuggets, but with fish instead. That was the vision when McDonald's launched Fish McBites
- The McStuffins were enclosed sandwiches with ingredients that were baked inside a loaf of baguette-style French bread.
- Released in 1996, the Arch Deluxe burger was a more gourmet-style burger that came with circular peppered bacon, cheese, two slices of lettuce, and a secret Arch sauce, all assembled on a gourmet potato sesame bun.
- Back in the late '80s, McSpaghetti entered the scene, along with lasagna and fettuccine alfredo.
- McDonald's is often used as a symbol of American food, so it's no surprise they tried out America's favorite barbecue option, the hot dog.

You forgot the Cheddar Melt. It had a regional rollout in the 80s. A 1/4 lb patty on a multi-grain bun with cheddar cheese sauce liberally ladled on. Like, drowning in sauce. Quite a few of the restaurants that offered the Chopped Beefsteak sandwich (1979-81) declined to also carry the accompanying Onion Nuggets. Even though McDonals's is headquartered in Chicago, I never saw Onion Nuggets at any Greater Chicagoland McDonald's.

I actually really enjoyed the Fish McBites. I remember back when they had them in 2013, I was 9 years old and almost all the time when my family and I would visit family in Queens on Saturday evenings, we would stop and get the Fish McBites before heading back to Long Island. Those days are long gone.

The McStuffins couldn't remained on the menu if they gave it a different name and tried to make them different from Hot Pockets. Also, I would've loved to try the onion nuggets! How many places serve that? As for most of the other menu items, they were pretty much doomed from the start 🤣

I loved fish mcbites!! It's not on this list but i know it has been on other lists on here but i really miss the big n tasty and mighty wings! I loved both of those too...but i doubt they will ever see the light of day again 😭😭😭

McDonald's has a separate fryer for fries, chicken and fish. Idk if the chicken nuggets would taste different if you fried onion bites with them or not. Arby's had onion petals and those were awesome.

I used to like the chicken fajitas at McDonalds around the corner from where I live, They removed it and the breakfast burritos around 2000 and even though the breakfast burritos returned, the fajitas never have, The breakfast burritos are good but they downsized them when they came back and haven't been the same since

I make my own Fish McBites from solid Cod. By far, my favorite McD's food, ever. Look at the beef under a jeweler's loop = you'll never eat it again. You're welcome.

The filet o fish was a loss leader. They sold it for less than it cost. They wanted to get people in there on Friday thinking they would come back the rest of the week too.

I tried a Carl's Jr. Beyond Famous Star and I honestly couldn't taste any difference from a regular Famous Star. The veggie burger has come a long way.

No wonder why Onion nuggets failed, but my explanation to why is because it's a bunch of diced onions in batter and tried, you just get to much. A reason why Onion Rings is a success is that it's a simple ring, but executed of perfection. Remember, onions have layers, ogres have layers, they both have layers. And sometimes, layers can be thin. The thiner the ring is, the better. USA's McDonald's however never tried selling Onion rings and just did a onion nugget. They had to much diced and cut layers in one place that made the taste too much. And btw, Hula Burger would've been better if it's like a normal hamburger with cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato, meat, ketchup, mustard, sauce and tasty execution. And then in the middle have a either thin slice on the burger and boom, a meaty Hula Burger.

True and extremely popular (between McDo version and Jolly Bee version) ...and the description in the video is right tastes like sweetened ketchup sauce..but that is typical of spaghetti sauce all over the PI ..also at McDo you get a side of rice with your McSpaghetti

All the things I liked were discontinued. The Cheddar Melt..comes to mind. And a breakfast sandwich that was prime rib on a bagel.. All the delicious items don't seem to last.

Man I gotta tell you, McSpaghetti is my Favorite, it's really good, but may differ on your preferences. Everytime I go to mickie Ds, there's always a spaghetti on my order and super cheap $1 for a meal (spag+drink). But now we moved to the US🇺🇸 and I can't get it anymore, that's sad 😢😢. 🍝💔
