I've been following your channel for a while now and I have to tell you how valuable it's been. I've been making the transition from southern rock to bluegrass and it has not been an easy road. I will always be a Dickey Betts fan and have even found some licks that transfer over nicely. Dickey Bett's father was a fiddle player so I guess it makes sense. Thanks for all you do. Love the content served with a sense of humor.

This is great !!! I love the way you look at other genres but i would love if you made a link up video of what to do once you have learned a load of licks. In otherwords how to improvise with your licks instead of just adding them to the start/end of a chord progression Love the videos though exactly what I need.😎

Like the emphasis on Doc Watson's "C" licks/tags. I think "C" was Doc's go-to key of first preference, to the point of capoing up 2 and playing out of a "C" position to play a tune in "D". Wish you would have shown his signature tag lick in "C", though -- the one that starts at the "C" on the 1st string/8th fret and descends...forEVAH (* forever being how long I've been trying to get it under my belt, too). Missed the chance to further plug your "G" run tags, too. All that is necessary to make them "C" run tags is to shift the fingering down ( "down" relative to low "E" 6th string to high "E" 1st string) one string. VOILA! Bunch more. I'll say it again: Best learning channel on the tube. Thanks for that. (Shirt? What shirt? You mean you're not Papa Smurf? I'm so disillusioned now.)

Thanks for the video, Marcel! I'm hoping a video showing licks in the key of D is coming up next. I just came across a version of "Rock of Ages" that Billy Strings performs and I really like the sound he's able to get out of that key (actually, I think he plays it in the key of E, but uses a capo at the 2nd fret).
