We are quick to judge #Bollywood for not taking enough risks! But the reality also is that the creators have been met with constant disappointment when they have taken the plunge of providing something different!

It’s funny how the audience is always ready to spread hate , dislike and cancel star kids but the same audience is not ready to support actual talent ... this is getting no where and honestly.. i have lost all hopes that we would ever be able to see a change .

Funny thing is,actors make good movies once in a while and nobody watches them. Case in point Varun Dhawan's "October" vs his other movies. So actors(and producers) make movies that sell, not what needs to be made.

Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota was an amazingly fun watch. I remember going to the late night show and finding the theatre almost empty. Even my parents did not seem to like the movie much. No. Because they wanted to watch SOTY 2 instead and many even complained about it later....but didn't give Sonchiriya a chance. It was an amazingly beautiful movie. The only drawback that I found with lal kaptaan was that half of the run time he's travelling from one place to another, and nothing is happening. The point is, if nothing is happening, it takes out of the emotional bubble that you want to invest in with the protagonist. Prime example: speed. Bus has to be above 50 or it explodes. So the bus has to be running continuously. Then comes the twist and turns which keep tye protagonist on his shoes consistently. Or another action film john wick. Both lal kaptaan and john wick are basically revenge saga. But john is constantly battling and keeps you as viewer intrigued through world building, set pieces. This is exactly where lal kaptaan faulters. It had a great surrounding world to built on, but it lets it go.

I really loved and appreciated his acting and performance in Laal Kaptaan. He did a phenomenal job. His acting is excellent and brilliant in the film but sadly the movie was a disaster and failed miserably at the box office. The Indian audience prefer watching crap movies like Race 3, Baaghi 3, Judwaa 2, Dabangg 3, Grand Masti, Bodyguard, Housefull 3 and 4, etc.. Those movies were commercial cinema and masala entertainers.

I honestly waited for laal kaptaan to release and watch it in theaters but my friends didn't seem interested in a movie like it and the show was canceled because I was the only one buying the ticket, don't know if it's funny or sad. But then watched it on Amazon prime and it deserves all the praise it gets and more.
