I'm sure I saw you today in your mx5 near clapham. I was in traffic on the other side in my rx8. I was going to do the car guy greeting of revving but I was tired of the traffic 😂

Not necessarily exclusive to the M version. The 2006 Z4 3.0si manual is a hidden gem. That year the N52B30 engine has a magnesium valve cover. And that engine has 255hp which has complimentary sport suspension. I found one with 38K on the clock in like new condition. Yes I walk in my heated garage and just stare at it. Other times it’s redlined on the motorway. Sleeper classic indeed. And of course it’s silver lol.

Just managed to secure a HONDA CR-Z GT Hybrid (Manual) '10' Plate with just 31k on the clock...absolutely IMMACULATELY presented, with undamaged WHITE Leather seats. I'm more than sure this particular Honda is already listed as a 'Future Classic'..,I understand that their are only 3,850 UK Registered....not fast, granted, but the 6 Speed Manual must be the "BEST" Gearbox ever produced across all makes and Models throughout history...SIMPLY OUTSTANDING. I've already been offered 1.5k more than I purchased this Vehicle for by a local Honda Dealership...I'm hanging onto this one... MANUAL...HYBRID...AVERAGE 46mpg...eat your 'Heart Out', as the phrase goes. Stay Safe, Friend...G.A.R.

Owned a Celica GT4, bought in 2016 for £4k sold in 2019 for £9k. Am now in a VX220 Turbo! Worth mentioning that a few of the vids for them you showed the NA not the turbo, NAs are a few grand cheaper than turbos but are definitely creeping up. I sold my old NA VX220 in 2016 for £8k, it would be worth now around £12k. I got my turbo in a good deal in 2019 for £12k, I would say it is worth around £15k+ now. Just glad that someone called the VX out, its an amazing car for the money, any petrolhead should at some point drive/own an Elise chassis car at some point, its one of the most visceral on the road driving experiences you will ever have!

The Honda del sol is going up in value, it's basically a more practical, front wheel drive Mx5. I bought mine 2 years ago with 43,000 miles for £1500 which was a steal at the time but they are now around the 5-6k mark. All 90s Japanese cars are going up in value crazy fast and the del sol is still a bit unkown by most people. It's also really good to drive and vtec is addictive but I only drive it occasionally due to the fact I want to keep the miles low. It's also really cheap to service and replace parts, bear in mind the steering rack boots like to split and the car likes to drink oil but that's not a lot of problems for a 29 year old car.

You're joking right? The whole thing about the MX5 is it's rwd and perfectly 50/50 weighted which is why it's fun and safe in the bends. The HDS is a lovely car, an amazing retractable roof design but it's not even remotely quick nor a good drivers car. FWD will almost always lose to rwd in terms of fun

I do hope the Z4M goes up - I was told this 2 years ago and bought one to add to my long-termers - paid 14k in the UK for low mileage version - its still worth 14k so with inflation its gone down. I was told the roadsters would hit 20k by the following year - okay perhaps with Covid thats not happened but it seems a lot of people are repeating what others say when it comes to the "pending appreciation" of these cars. Obviously the coupes will go up first but they are still accessible now. Where I did make gains was on a 2.8 Z3 wide body and an E38 740 Sport - both of these have doubled in the value over the same period, albeit from a lower price point.

I bought a Z4MC in 2012 low mileage, sold it back to the same dealer 3 years later, lost £3k, but thoroughly enjoyed the car. I have since bought a late Z4c 3.0si, I don’t care what it’s worth, it’s just a cool car. Investing in cars is not a wise move. Buy and enjoy.

The Z4 is a car I'd like to own. The car I think you've missed, and as a fan boy (driven a few but never owned) is the Toyota MR2 Mk2. How often does a mid engined, RWD 2 seater, affordable sports car come around? This makes them extremely rare and given that many have been modded /crashed, there must be very few clean and original examples out there. I'd love to own one if I had the garage space to keep it clean. They great fun to drive hard and far more forgiving than some of the scare stories you hear about snap oversteer.

Keep a eye on some cheap today rare back then models, for example I have just bought a Astra H SRI 200+ (only 260 on the road) I bought on 75k for £1250, there is also the even rarer sri xp pack (must state XP on log book) only 48 on the road..

Here in South Africa, Z3 3.0l Roadster and Z3 MCoupe have gone THROUGH THE ROOF, if you can find one. My Z3 3.0l doubled in price in last 5 years I owned it until I sold it.

The 911 in the us hasn’t dropped past 14 -15 k . They are barely going up but mostly only the carrera 4S, but if you want to get one while they are cheap get 97-99 they are less prone to IMS bearing failure , but it’s no guarantee..

They all seem to be cars that if they're not impeccably serviced could turn into vast money pits. Having said that they're all very nice, I'm quite drawn to the Integra, not the most powerful but a complete package. A Japanese E30 M if you will.

If your over 6ft 180cm you wont be able to fit inside the VX220. I attempted a test drive for a new one years ago but just could not fit into it. Its really a car for very short people. If only GM had asked lotus to insert about 15cm more length into the cockpit design then a normal sized person could get into it. My best guess is you would need to be under 170cm or 5ft 7 just to get your legs inside under the bulk head. And probably under 164cm or 5ft 4 to be comfortable. If you watched Top Gear years ago even the very short Richard Hammond struggled to fit inside.

Not really. Worst light design ever. Porsche. Which reminds me of a blonde joke. An old man wanted his porch painted. A young blonde stopped by and asked what the job paid. The skin flynt ol man offered her 50 bucks. She said OK. Ol man went into house and was getting a cold drink when his wife asked him, does she know the porch goes all the way around the house. The Ol Man siad "She should have she was standing on it. About that time a knock on the door. The girl said she was finished. The ol man was impressed. She said and yea, I had paint left over so I gave it 2 coats, and by the way, it's a Ferrari not a Porsche.

I’d consider an Alfa GT. Brilliant styling, currently undervalued but not for much longer they’re Alfa’s naughty secret. Great handling (stability control probably bettered only by Porsche), badge, presence- what’s not to like? Go for the V6 for future classic status but the 2.0 JTS is the bargain sweet spot.

Yes, if you’re relatively young insurance is a killer; especially brands like sporting Alfas. Try the classic route - Alfasud. One of the best handling and steering fwd cars ever but prices climbing as we speak. And they’re hard to find.

Sold my VX220 about 12 years ago for £9k. I regret it. Superb car (except that a medium sized pothole could write-off the suspension).

@@CarsWithJB It was fantastic, but a couple of times, in heavy rain, I had to stop on the hard shoulder of motorways because it would aqua plane that badly in a straight line over 50mph. They cannot do sanding water. At all.

I think the 05 Smart Forfour brabus will be a classic. Rare, great fun & cool. Also; please do a video of top supercharged cars until X amount, please.
