My mom lost her years long friends when he dementia kicked in high gear after my dad passed. She said things with no filter that were insulting and made very bad choices. People treated her horrible after that. They just thought she had become a real B. Family even abandoned her and left her homeless in a small hospital after she fell and broke her hip. She lost a year of her memory after that and started hallucinating. Her dementia literally cost her everything. It left her abandoned and near penniless. I traveled to the other side of the country to go get her and bring her home with me.

Horrible disease. Neither the patient, relatives, or caregivers can understand what is going on with the person who has the disease.
