The division happened with purpose to erase ethnic division and reduce ethnic tension. Which is why every province was named after a topographic feature of the area. For example Vardarska Banovina because of the Vardar river, Moravska Banovina (Serbia) because of Morava river etc... Which is why every province was named after a topographic feature of the area. Between 1929 and 1941 as you can see there was no Macedonia, no Serbia or Croatia, no Bosnia, no Montenegro. But in 1945 every state got their nation’s names back as you can see. To sum up Vardarska Banovina was a name of a province in Yugoslavia and not the name of our country which exists +2500 years before Yugoslavia.

No Croatia, Bosnia and Slovenia aren't friends with Greece but the others are (Kosovo is part of Serbia).
