The Hazet water pump pliers are very very nice but the knipex cobra water pump pliers are the original that has that design plus the cobra have more stops and cost just a touch less. Also from Germany. Both brands are very good high quality tools tho so either one is very nice. I just like the original knipex.

I own a pair of Vampliers. Has saved my butt in many instances.stripped screws, bolts and even nail heads You will really appreciate them when the need arises . A must have in your tool box. They were so good. I wanted another pair for my tool box at home.I bought a different pair same design except with green handles. I must admit. they work just as good, for half the price. The only difference is the handles are Green and Vampliers I paid around $55.00. I imagine their must be a difference in the quality of the steel. In the jaws Maybe the green ones eventually will lose their grip however that has not happened yet. I got the green ones for around $30.00. Just as good as the Vampliers..Again The green ones are for use at home..Out in the field I definitely would buy the Vampliers. a little pricey but well worth the money when you need them as a matter of fact they have completely replaced my Klien Lineman pliers Sorry Vampliers . it is what it is .

Tylar snider if we never fix things that are not broken we would all be walking everywhere. From cave to cave. Eating raw meat. Before the hickory handle it could have been two vines tied to a rock. Sure am glad they decided to improve on that. Who know i could be wrong.

What if I need a hook and a pick at the same time? Seems useless to me and takes up just as much space as a regular set of handled hooks and picks.
@TyronePerry
@TyronePerry 4 жыл бұрын
My thought... like why have a removable grip, you could more easily/cheaply put a grip on every single hook... I mean maybe if they just had a small adaptor that kept them small, but those large pieces going into the grip doesn't save any space.

The craftsman is alright. Have had mine for years and is handy to have but in tight spaces a socket or regular wrench is better as it is a little long but with good clearance and easy access its really a pretty good tool.

Trollop 19 if you have a rusty chain I would suggest leaving it in a 10% acid solution for about 24 hours, a good rinse then a spray with penetrating oil to seal the surface and you got a brand new chain again

So like vinegar then olive oil? Must it be extra virgin?
@samson7383
@samson7383 5 жыл бұрын
Trollop 19 no don't use those products it will not work very well at all. For the rust removal either muriatic acid in a solution of water 10% by volume or you can find a rest eating solution from the automotive section at the hardware store. Don't use olive oil it's too thick and debris will get stuck in it and ruin your chain. Chain oil has a very low viscosity so if you don't have it specifically use WD-40 sewing machine oil, or even the oil you get with your beard clippers will work. If you happen to grow one that is lol

Out of all these, #5 tool is the worst of all. The designer of this tool is NOT thinking hard enough! I don't want to keep changing these picks head, and install it into the handle every time I need to use it. They should of just made all handle onto these picks. You would rather save money in the making of these tools, or you would rather sells a lot of these tools?

Never needed a hook and pick set so I can’t comment on that. Everything else is a complete waste of money geared for a generation that can’t figure out how to swing a hammer.

The rest of it is junk but what is wrong with the pump pliers? Not sure why they are listed on the video since that tool design has been out for a long time. I actually prefer those over traditional channel lock style in most cases though I can’t stand idiots using these tools on fastener heads. Good way to round them off for the next guy.

Only those Hazet's and the vampliers are of quality, everything else is cheap import garbage. One of the worst on this list are those horrible piece of shit Fiskars handles, they're trying to reinvent the wheel and it just won't happen. There's this thing they apparently haven't heard of and it's called hickory, it absorbs shock better than anything a hammer handle could ever be made of and it's been used here in the US for over 200 years. If it's not US MADE with a hickory handle I won't even touch it.

I chop more firewood each year than most people, and I love my fiskars. Plus the two times in ten years that ive had a handle they replaced it no question asked. I'm sorry youve had such bad luck with them bud. They are a fantastic tool.

@@siclt1 What does Channellock have to do with anything ? And are you sure Knipes was the first to make button actuated locking water pump pliers , I honestly don't know If they were the first or just the most well known.

@@kiphenricksen4056 I'm not talking about their popular splitting mauls / axes ( which I don't touch ), i'm talking about stupidvthis " shock absorbing system " they're showing boff in this video. It's just hilarious that we've come out with things to replace a good hickory handle just to have a whole new set of problems that need solving. If it ain't broke don't try to fix it or you'll just have to fix it again, and again, and again until you realize it was right the first time.
