prosperity don't come out that way overnight. What Most people see at a glance-wealth, a perfect career, purpose-is the results of hard labour and hustle over time. I pray anyone who reads this will be successful in life...

So if you buy real estate in the Caribbean (Saint Kitts or Nevis) and you sell it a bit later at a loss, how is that worse than donating $150K that you never get back. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

This is like a video game lol. You come into it in this video and you see those prices and you say "That's SO expensive!!" but then as you level up and increase your character and XP you later will find it's not that much at all. This is all very inspiring to see :)

100% FALSE, not at all. Except for maybe the 100k or 150k options which can be gotten by just a simple home refinance or something similar, all those prices are nearly impossible for the average person to reach. If this video is meant for seriously wealthy people thats a different story, but he did not specify that nor should that be the specified goal. Those are very VERY high prices for the average working person just trying to do some traveling or small business person.

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.

Over the past 10 years the number 1 country for UHNWI has been Australia. The 188 and 888 visas are easy to get but it’s typically $5 million AUD.

@Paul W.A nice opinion Paul, but statistically most don't appear to agree with you. Over the past 20 years, Chinese nationals have invested more money in Australia collectively than any other nation. Although that said, they don't even rate in total investment. That goes to the US, where investments are significantly more than China could even consider. In terms of immigration, Australia cities not only rate among the most favoured among normal citizens of countries such as the US and China, but Australian cities collectively are the base for the wealthiest citizens of the world. But the most interesting statistic that pertains mainly to Americans is this.... Americans don't tend to emigrate, and the US has a large population, so this single phrase should be expected. In every case except one, more citizens from a country have immigrated into the US than Americans have emigrated to that country. So for example, more Italians have immigrated into the US than Americans emigrated to Italy. Likewise more French have immigrated into the US than Americans emigrated to France. The only single country the reverse is true is Australia. More Americans have have immigrated into Australia, than Australians emigrated to USA. Ironically here, the US offers a unique visa to Australians called the E3 that offers the fastest and largest quota for work than available to any other country. It's sort of a safe bet. Because generally Australians have no issue working in the US, but generally they tend to go back. Somehow I think you might be one of the few with your opinion Paul.
@inodesnet
@inodesnet Жыл бұрын
@Paul W.A lol! Nice one. The only other statistic that shows investment was worthwhile is the fact that Australia still holds the record for longest economic expansion for any advanced economy in history (the US economy was experiencing 3 recessions in a time when Australia experienced none of them). But aside from statistics, my own opinion is that there is something innocent and old school about Australian cities, particularly when compared to other new world cities like in the US. I've been to every Australian state capital as well as around 25 US cities in 20 odd states. Cities like Sydney and Melbourne have the large city feel of cities such as San Francisco but generally quality of life is significantly better, safer, cleaner air, better healthcare and public transport. Brisbane is an interesting choice. I'd say that Brisbane has matured significantly over the past 20 years. It used to lack the diversity and unlike Sydney and Melbourne, is not a global city. Hopefully the future Olympic Games will help cement it's future just as it has done to all other Olympic cities (the one thing people forget is that although it's a costly event to hold, it's proven to provide up to 20 years of economic benefit after the event in terms of tourism and trade).

@@inodesnet Australia was once a great country having massive wealth in the ground and a spare population. However, since covid the country has changed becoming an extension of China. All the assets of the people have been given sold or leased to other countries to the point that the Australian government has sold the future of the people. Most Australians have not realised their cupboard is bear with a national debt per head of population significantly higher than America. Australia has a high population of Chinese and it is rumoured that several police stations are owned and controlled by the CCP of China. Australia a once great nation is looking at becoming a 3rd world country in the not too distant future. Melbourne was the most locked down place in the world with lockdown of 2 years. That destroyed thousands of small businesses. Those who protested in melbourne were met with an unprecedented force as police opened fire on unarmed people and military tanks going through the heart of Melbourne. Australia is a lawless dictatorship.

@@dgravenall Actually, according to multi-billionaire Ray Dalio who literally wrote the book on the issue, the US is by far the most indebted & bankrupt nation in the world, with a govt debt of $5.5 million per private sector worker including the massive "off balance sheet" debt. Most of that is for unfunded pensions & medicare and the massive war machine that was all put on the tab and is currently losing the proxy war in Ukraine to Russia, after having lost proxy wars recently in Afghanistan Syria that cost $6.4-trillion all on the "credit card" off-balance sheet, LOL. The US is collapsing and it will end in tears, with 100% certainty.
@davidrichards1741

@@inodesnet Australia's prosperity was entirely attributable to having China as a customer. Morrison destroyed that. Australia will suffer and collapse in insolvency just like the US. Read the Dalio book, who knows a thing or two about it, being the self-made multi-billionaire investor and founder of the world's most successful hedge fund too. He is betting big on China winning and US losing. Read the book and especially the history therein.

I think a lot of countries give passports if you know the language and you can prove you got ties with someone there. I got Romanian identity card as I was born there, but I'm Hungarian and it was an expedited, and simplified scheme to get the passport from Hungary, for people who do speak the language, it needed a few proofs of ancestors being Hungarian, but once you got someone in the family with the pass, it became much easier for the rest. Now I'm not suggesting that you do somethin illegal, but probably there are some workarounds when you can claim that a grandpa was from there, and then it's possible. Not sure on the language requirement, but probably anyone who speaks spanish, french or italian could learn it quite fast.

Now I'm being told that it might be another 6 weeks to get the passport. My approval said #5899 of 2022 on it. That seems like a huge number of applicants for a small country like Dominica.

You recommend against buying real estate, but that seems odd. Even if the real estate is overpriced or whatever, how can it be worse than just donating $150k? If I donate, I never see that money again. If I invest the $200k in real estate, even if I recover just $50k of it (seems easy), then I'm better off than just donating and watching the money go poof 💸

It's a very dodgy market you need to know well or you'll get scammed and may not even get the passport if the valuation is not legit. I don't know any of these top countries from this video although I do know other countries in the Caribbean from sailing. I wonder how bad the market is there solely on the passport programme. Another problem is that I don't think they'll give you the passport until you've held the house for the required number of years, which means you need a long time to get the passport that way.
