Haha, yeah, for special occasions I always wore braids because otherwise my hair would have looked too messy. On normal days, I wore it in a pineapple. Not too bad, BUT no matter what look, every hair styling done by my mom (or later by myself) started with brushing my dry 3a/3b curls with a normal brush (!!), so you can imagine how my 'pineapple' looked like... more like a nuclear explosion than a pineapple tbh... Thank God those days are over 😂

Can you do a video all about deep conditioning. I see a lot of people using deep conditioner every time they wash their hair but it kind of seems a little overkill to me. An expert’s opinion on this would be amazing!!

@kierasaurusfrost
@kierasaurusfrost 4 жыл бұрын
I’ve been curious about that too! I only wash my hair once a week (it doesn’t get greasy quickly or anything) and I just started using a deep conditioner in place of a conditioner. Using both seems like overkill to me for my 2b/c waves. It also saves money and time just using the deep conditioner. I’ve been getting better results too. My hair is super healthy and I didn’t think I even needed to use a deep conditioner but boi was I wrong!
@Bee-li8ox
@Bee-li8ox 4 жыл бұрын
Depends on how coarse/damaged your hair is. I use a deep conditioner every time because my hair is not only thick and coarse but chemically damaged and it needs all that moisture. (I don't put it all the way to the scalp though, just where it's chemically damaged)

You know, I used to deep condition every time cuz everyone kept saying to deep condition once a week, but the problem was, I washed my hair once a week. So I figure deep condition every wash. Well I ran out of my deep conditioner 2 weeks ago and to use my regular conditioner. Hair is great!

@@t.h.1492 I don't think that the others are bad by any means. This one has a little protein in it, and I think that's part of why my hair loves it so much. Perfect balance of moisture and protein for my hair. The others never get used anymore simply because I *always* reach for this one. The other two I have are also by Shea Moisture. I grew up in the 80's when very very few products existed for curly hair. The very very few that did exist were in some stores that had an ethnic beauty/hair product isle (small area). Some of those products are still around but the the curly hair market is fairly new and still growing. Maybe that's why these products tend to cost more than other beauty hair products (capitalizing on the trend)? Or is it because the products' ingredients cost more therefore cost more to make? I don't know but I'm glad scientists finally realized there is diversity and formulate more products.

The scrubber exfoliating whatever rubber brush is legit though. I thought that shit would get lost in my hair forever or rip out more hair than I already do with the stress of life. There are vibrating ones to ...for..your scalp.. I guessStill have no idea how to use a diffuser correctly for some reason

Hello just wanted to thank you for bringing back my curls. I'm so emotional could cry. Oh my. I know it's only hair. Lol. I haven't even bought the aveda products you recommended. I used my old products which now I know are way too heavy for my fine hair , but I applied your technique. I was using curly girl method and it was a total fail. Way too much product. My hair would be so weighed down and the products they use are for thicker hair. Just too heavy. I can't wait to buy the aveda products you recommended. My hair changed after my first baby. I gave up and figured I'm in that ugly area where my hair is neither curly nor wavy nor straight. So I just decided to pin it up for the rest of my life lol. Today my curls are back! I can't believe it. They are just a little too flat because of the weight of the products, but that's my fault lol. I'm so thankful to you. I was going to even pay for a deva cut. Aghhh

This video is amazing. I am brand new to all this, 3 weeks post partum with my 2nd & 3rd babies (twins, twice the hormones, twice the fun) and my hair has gone from "I could be wavy if I feel like it..." to freaking wavy/curly Hagrid from Harry Potter. You ladies are amazing and I'm so glad I found you! Big love from Western Canada! 💕

Thank YOU, for posting about that Shea moisture hair mask!! I was brave to try something new, and I LOVE this mask so much!! My hair hasn’t been this shiny in so long. It also helped give my curls more defined curl clumps. Good thing to know that my summer hair just needed more moisture. Thanks again!! ❤️

For anyone curious, the term satin refers to the weave of the fabric and silk is a fiber. so a satin pillowcase can be made of silk, polyester, or nylon. Basically any filament fiber (filament fibers are very very long, like hundreds of feet to several miles long. the only type of filament fiber that occurs in nature is silk, otherwise it's going to be a synthetic).
