The Mario franchise has given us some wonderful and memorable characters over the years. Aside from our boys in blue, red and green, they have given us one of the most recognizable villains in video game history, Bowser. We grew up with the Mario Bros. and their incredible adventures saving the princess, but...it has basically been only Princess Peach. For the longest time, the western audience has only known the blonde and pink Princess Toadstool and questioned how she manages to get kidnapped every game.
Well, in recent years, there has been a push for more princesses that are not as easy to kidnap. While people may fawn over Rosalina, today we are talking about Princess Daisy. Move over Peach, your days are numbered as the best princess in the Mario franchise. Who exactly is Princess Daisy though? Where did she come from? When did she first appear? Princess Daisy was the very first character that I loved, and considering I was obsessed with her throughout my elementary school years, since Mario Party 3, Daisy was always my favorite character in general, despite her being a "worthless duplicate" but she appeals to me the most more than any other Mario character and has a lot of support, appearances and fans. I'll love the day when she becomes a true main character of her own.

SSBK 65 Dark Pit was a *worthless* duplicate to the T, but he still got in Smash 4. There's no reason for Daisy not to come in along with Waluigi.

I am not a big fan of hers but I do respect & like her as a character, it is because of Peach that Daisy exists. I don't find Peach to be very appealing to me, as I like Daisy more, even with her lack of development. Most people like Peach more, but there are many who prefer Daisy.

On the contrary, I'm the older one and refuse to play anyone but luigi. I even have his wii remote. Point is, it doesn't matter your age or player role. Luigi is just the best, period. And like you said, that indirectly makes daisy the best.

I agree with Just a Snail. I always liked Luigi better than Mario and i actually liked Peach but i do like Daisy too. And since she debut i like Rosalina as well. So yeah i think it should be Luigi who gets all the ladies lol.

EX FLaREoN フラレオン Daisy has a lot more potential than a lot of other characters that you think would be the same as others. A lot of stuff peach does wouldn’t fit Daisy. Daisy is more physical while Peach is more technical. They have different powers, along with a bunch of other differences. Daisy would also be a good character that can represent all of the sports and party games.

Superairdog 10 I could see all her potential in smash. All her moves could be flower/Sports based similar to peach and maybe if some moves are too similar they could can turn her into a brawler tomboy princess type since peach is already the elegant and proper one. I certainly wouldnt mind seeing another ruff and tumble lady in the Mario series, there are so few of them outside the first three paper mario games. Seriously its like Toadette and Peach were the only girls before they introduced Rosalina. We dont count Birdo because no one talks about birdo (If you know why then remember that we have Vivian from TTYD as a better version of the conversation that follows birdo)

7:48 You said Daisy isn't a playable character in Super Smash Bros. However, it IS possible to play as her in SSB series. You simply have to change Peach's "skin" and boom you have Daisy with her iconic daisy flower, orange dress, and her hairstyle and color! Same thing goes for the Koopalings; change Bowser Jr.'s "skin" and you can play any Koopaling in Bowser's family.

Well, because she is echo so that obivous to see will have peach moves but it's not right at all because I knew Princess Daisy is different so finally, she is in smash game and she will get development to evolve more to get her own moveset and final smash to match her personality Daisy is. And it is her first time in smash game so clearly, at the Nintendo company don't know what to use moves for her because she do have lot moves so for now they put her in smash game then will start to develop her more in next smash game.

Unfortunately the fact Miyamoto didn’t create Daisy is likely why she doesn’t appear outside the spinoff’s. Miyamoto seems to have taken a hard stance against characters he did not personally create. As evidenced by the recent Paper Mario games replacing all original characters with things like generic Toads.

Me and my cousin used to play Mario kart Wii and we would play as Daisy and Peach. I never remembered seeing Rosalina in the game, none the less playing as her, but I vividly remember playing Daisy because my cousin thought she was high and mighty, and she assumed Peach was better.

How??? Peach has so much powers including Heart Powers, Wishing Powers, Magic, Parasol Skill, and Information Transferer. She has one of the best skills in the franchise according to Mario and Sonic Olympic Series. She is smart enough to escape but of course the creators don`t let her because Mario needs to save someone for Super Mario Bros to Work.

Star the Wolf Peach is way better this channel really is bias and dislikes Peach and her fans. Peach has so much abilities and skills that Daisy does not have including: Heart Powers where she uses to attack enemies since she is the heart princess, Wishing Powers where she can strengthen or weaken anybody with it, she also has Magic, she can Levitate, she has badass Parasol Skills, and has Emotion Empowerment shown in Super Princess Peach where she saves Mario, also a very good Information Transferer.

The creators decided to let her be saved instead of not escaping herself since she can do that. If no princess to be saved then no Super Mario Bros. If no Princess maybe no Mario Games at all

Neither of these were dark like the title suggest or weird like the video suggests. I don't think Nintendo is trying to hide them either. Still this video is good if you want to learn detailed info about Daisy. Especially if you're unfamiliar with her background.
