I was on the fence about the YSL until I saw it in person. It is so beautiful and more functional than originally thought. The leather is incredible and durable while still soft. Not for everyone, but encourage you to check out in person if you haven’t already 🙂

TOTALLY agree on the YSL... ugh, that GIANT logo was a huge turn off. If it were matte black, maybe...but, yeah hard pass!!!

I liked that ridiculous huge YSL logo! With that said I'm glad I didn't purchase. The bag is just way toooo big! Lol

Hmm I think they intentionally made the YSL logo big and bold to make a statement. It would defeat the whole purpose if they made a huge logo in black that blended in. 😂 😉

I totally fell for the gray flannel Fendi First in 2021 and bought it as a bday gift for myself. I loved how it looked but it’s just like you said, not really functional. It fit all of my essentials but the weight of the bag was too much for the thin strap on the small version. I preferred the look of the small version, including the thinner strap. But the bag with the hardware felt very unbalanced on the strap. The best look was as a clutch which I ended up wearing a handful of times. But living in a big city and taking public transportation, a clutch was just not practical for me. It made me to sad to only wear it 3-4 times a year so I ended up selling it 😢 I still think about it all the time but REALLY trying to stick with taste Vs style. It’s my taste but not my style! Hard lesson to learn

Something about the Chanel 22 just makes me love it. The black version doesn't look too appealing, but I think the casual design works well for colorful leathers. Unfortunately, the price for the rather simple design and construction, as well as all the quality issues make me skip it.

I agree with you about the Lady D-Joy - I am a Dior girl for sure - EXCEPT that I am slightly obsessed with the quilted embroidered motif ones that come in the blush, black and cream color…still waiting and hoping to find one pre-loved:)

100% agree with your thoughts on all of these. Many of the designs I also thought were too much or didn’t really understand, but can see why it would make such a statement for some people.

Thanks for sharing! I was very closed to get the maxi bag, I own one contemporary Italian bag in a hobo style which is very similar to the maxi but smaller and really enjoyed it. I was arguing with myself that the price was kinda high for that brand, but the amount of leather they use was kinda worth it. Looking back, I’m glad I didn’t buy it. 😊

I’ve gotten the Chanel 22 bag last Dec and to date it’s my most used everyday tote bag. Super functional and easy chic

I agree ! I got the navy metallic. I’ve been wearing the Falabella for years and actually feel this is the more luxe rip off of it (down to the coin pendant). The medium in metallic imo is a chic and amazing tote- but I can totally see people not being into it

The HUGE YSL tote looks cheap to me. I hate it too. 🥺😩😂 I don’t find it attractive at all but it’s nice to see other people who love it, Rock it! The botegga bag was Definitely a trendy bag. It’s already played out lol.

I absolutely love my ysl icare tote . Samorga released an organizer that definitely helps with the bottom wrinkles that can happen if not taken care of correctly . I store mine on a purse rack with the organizer and it’s fully stuffed . Their Leather is truly underrated , it’s more luxurious than the lambskin leather on my Chanel urban spirit backpack . I have never been into the fendi baguette either but I do like the look of leather ones but I don’t see me adding 1 to my collection anytime soon ❤ Great video thanks for sharing 🥰

I agree with you on all of these, except the Fendi baguette. I have a vintage baguette, which i love, and I am considering buying a new version as well, but as long as I have the old baguette, a new baguette has a hard time getting to the top of my buying list. Last Christmas I really wanted a crystal bag, but certainly not in the price range of Prada. I found a bag from Patrizia Pepe that fit me perfectly, at a fraction of the Prada-price. I enjoy following top designers and seeing what's new, but some of the fun with this bag interest is finding bags from lesser-known designers that satisfy my desire to try out new styles.

I can completely understand why you might not buy another Fendi baguette if you already have a vintage one that you adore! Honestly I see nothing wrong with the baguette style. I don’t really understand why I haven’t gravitated towards buying one. Some things are inexplicable. 😂

The mini Jodi is so light weight and you can hard on the crook of your arm not only hand held. I barely realize it’s on my arm. The zipper can be challenging but I leave it a bit open and it’s easier. The fendi first also a gorgeous bag, I have the medium and carry on my shoulder, and looking to get a small for evening bag.,:)

I enjoyed this! I agree with all of your choices except for the Fendi First. I have never been a Fendi fan, nor do I own a Fendi product. However, there is something about the Fendi First that fascinates me. I still haven’t purchased it, but, I like it!-and I don’t know why! 😉😂❤👜🇨🇦

Agree with most of these although I love the Dior because it’s so cute, and I have 2 Fendi baguettes in the embossed leather that I got before the 25th anniversary hype and I have to say I love them. I am eyeing the speedy 20 in the empreinte but my pochette metis is in black empreinte and I have so many black bags that I waited for the turtledove. They now make it in the bicolor turtledove, so fingers crossed they come out with the solid turtledove in the fall. The other I’m glad I didn’t get was the Chanel 19 large in the caramel color (like the 21p I think of your mini). I have 2 of the gorgeous 21a light grey Chanel 19snin med and large and considered swapping the bigger one. Decided against it because I like heartier leathers in tan. Got my small puzzle bag in tan instead and I adore those light grey 19s so much because I’m a cool color person.

The tan color on the Loewe puzzle bag is so beautiful! 👍 I agree, if you have the Pochette Métis in empreinte already, adding a speedy 20 in a different color might be fun! 😊

Love the original Lady Dior, but not the east west one. I almost bought the Fendi First, but felt it was not an everyday bag.😊

I think the Fendi First is a great statement piece for certain occasions but I agree, definitely not an everyday bag.

The lady joy Dior. Oh do I love this bag. Love the longer version so much better. I stopped myself because of the price. I stop at $4000 for a bag. I look all the time though

I agree with you on some bags like the Jodie from Bottega Veneta. You mentioned the major luxury brands except Hermès!!! I'm wondering about that because some new Hermès releases are quite "different" than B/K. For this reason, I would like to know which Hermès "non-quota" bag would you mention? The Hermès Geta? Or the Birkin 30 en désordre? ... Thank you for sharing.

Oh good question! I think because no Hermes bags really caught my attention last year, I didn’t think to include them. I touched on the Disorder bag right before it officially released. Not my cup of tea but it’s definitely interesting.

really good points! I really don't understand the Chanel 22 hype either. I think for some street style aesthetics it can work, but so overpriced. Btw, Hanna, wanted to request for a tiffany blue color for your spring collection with dress up your purse please

Yes I had bought a Peekaboo last year and I had to return it ..the two side panels did not match..one side was already so creased ..looked worn. I was quite sad as it was in Navy blue my favourite colour

The only one that I am concidering adding to my collection is the Fendi first, it's unique and different but versatile at the same time (I saw it on a girl at the supermarket and I fell inlive with it) The rest of them I don't think worth the money

I would like the micro Métis. I just think it’s too expensive. I feel the same about the Fendi Baguette. I try not to get sucked in by the hype too.

😂 My most used bag for 2022 was my green crystal Prada bag. I really didn’t think it was worth the price until I saw it in green. I wore it almost every day, it dresses up my casual outfits. 😅 I also own the small Fendi first, I wear it with the thin crossbody bag. Great for dressing up any outfit.

Aw fun!! Don’t let my opinions ruin your fun in any way! It sounds like you’re really enjoying both bags. I’ve never seen the Prada crystal bag in green but I bet it’s very eye catching! My daughter’s favorite color is green so she’d probably go bananas. 💚

@@hellocatwalkcity I won’t, the Prada is the bag I own that receives the most compliments. 2nd most complimented bag is the Chanel trendy in light blue, especially by men and it’s the least worn bag, but my absolute favorite. I follow you because you have different taste than me, your advice brings me down to earth 😂 in a good way.

I still want a fendi first mainly as a going out clutch. I'm not sure if I'd use it for daily use. The sequined baguette is something i want. I have a nano baguette that i love. I'm still saving for another bag, but i would have picked up maybe a teal or green one if i could. i'm going to keep an eye out for resale. Fendi is kinda my chanel, it's just a brand i'm drawn to. Also they have the Prada crystal bags in different colors, it's also on my wishlist.

@@hellocatwalkcity yeah, i tend to wear more jewel tones or neon paired with denim. i like to have a pop of something somewhere in my outfit. my wardrobe is not very muted.

I was close to buying the neverfull because I’m either carrying a tote or a crossbody but seeing everyone with it and the price for the MM size turned me off from the bag. Now I’m looking at the Speedy B 25 or the pochette Métis (hopefully I can get it before a price increase)

Maybe you should check out the Goyard St Louis as a tote option it might be similar price point but it's a great investment and it definitely holds everything you could ever need.

I didn't like the Chanel 22 either as it just look like a SACK but I saw one in iridescent blueish green shimmery color and oh my gosh! It was goregous! 😍😍😍 If I could afford THAT one I would have bought it! That is the only one I liked!

I really don't like designer leather tote bags. I just don't feel none structure bag designer bags look good. 😐 Chanel 22 just feel like a no effort. Literally no thoughts or design went into the bag. It made me a bit angry that they are releasing something like this and it cost so much. 🙄 Also regarding repeating bag. If you have the Chanel mini square is there a reason to get a mini rectangle. I feel like the visual is very different. I always feel the mini square looks more casual and the rectangle looks more feminine. With the dior lady I don't feel the same. I feel like the square already has such a strong presence the rectangle maybe came to late to make me feel anything for it.

The most hideous one in my opinion is the elongated Dior bag 😵‍💫😵‍💫every time I look at it I feel frustrated and I feel they humiliated the original lady dior

I love all the bags you shared. I have them all. The heart bag was special for me and I had to serenade my SA since it’s for VIC .. and Chanel 22 has been useful . I love Chanel . No need to throw shade just because you have 2 or 3 Hermes. Find a better topic

I really enjoyed reading your comment and was feeling happy for you when you said you’re enjoying these bags, but then your comment turned a bit toxic. I covered many different brands on this video and was not “throwing shade” at Chanel. I own and adore Chanel bags. We can have different tastes without getting rude or negative over what’s supposed to be a lighthearted topic. It seems you have some angst about my owning Hermes bags. It’s really not necessary. I really am happy to hear you’re enjoying your bags.
