Hi Esther! Please i got my old Acknowledgment letter for spring but i deferred to fall. I have received my I-20 form and i also have gotten a visa date but i don't know what i should do about the Admission letter since my acknowledgement letter is showing spring and im going for fall.

what if your passport got missing and your new one isn’t valid for 6 months does that mean they won’t grant your visa?

Pls I'm going for my interview I got a job upon completing my education in the USA.... in the letter from the firm stating I got a job waiting for me.... should the firm put their stamp on it or not

Hello! I really do not know about the process for post-graduation jobs and such. You can reach out to your university’s designated school official (DSO) for international students. They will most likely give you the best answer.

please after i have gotten admission in a college in united states, what bills will the college expect me to pay before coming there? i know i'll pay for tuition fees from my home country but i don't know if they are gonna ask me to pay a 1years accommodation fees even before i get there

Hello, you are only expected to pay the amount you choose to contribute as shown on the application form. You do not pay tuition nor accommodation before coming to Berea.

Hi! Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the resumption date so July and beyond for expiration

Hello! The deadline (November 30) has passed for Fall ‘22. There is only one admission cycle per year so now you have to wait to apply later this year for Fall ‘23. Application opens around June or so

Hello, no you don't need to do that except you just feel like it. I did not have any when I did my interview. Having enough funds for your ticket is good proof that you can afford a ticket

No, because the US recommends you only buy your ticket and dispose of property after you have the visa in hand.

Hi! Are they significantly different/ unrelated? That’s not really ideal but if you are asked, you can explain what happened…guessing it was a mistake? You just have to tell them as I cannot think of anything else

Please on my university application form I made a friend in the united state as my sponsor, but it's my brother here in Ghana who's going to sponsor me , so can I send my brothers bank statement to the embassy? And how much does he supposed to have in his account before they accept?

Yeah it shouldn’t really matter as long as your school doesn’t specifically list your friend as the sponsor somewhere in your admission documents. You can use your brother’s financial documents instead

Hello Esther, the school that offered me admission didn’t require for IELTS/TOEFL, will the embassy have need for it?

Hi Esther! As long as the school didn’t require it, the embassy will not have need for it. If they bring it up, just tell them that the school didn’t ask. Good-luck!

Hi! No the financial aid package doesn’t include air travel costs. You don’t really get any stipend…your “spending money” comes from working

Hello, IELTS/TOEFL serves a different purpose compared to GRE/GMAT. IELTS/TOEL only tests your use of English Language, nothing else. Most schools ask for it. GRE and GMAT are academic tests and you have to find out which one your school of interest requires as it varies.

Hi greetings please..am a community college AAs degree I 20 holder .please my aim is after my studies In community college I will transfer to a university for my bachelors degree making it total 4years tow years in community college and tow years in university . please should I tell the VO that I want to university after my studies in college ..???? I already responded to your other comment but for the length of stay, I’m really not sure tbh. I would say two years just cos you’d eventually need to get another visa for the transfer later + you can explain at your interview but I don’t exactly have the best answer

Did you write an Statement of purpose for the visa application ?? And do we need a police clearance? If my bank statement has good amount of money, more money than I said in the Berea application, will it affect my visa?

No, I don’t recall having to write the SOP but I think there was a spot in the visa application form to add any information that would help in analyzing your visa application. No I didn’t use any police clearance No, your bank statement during your visa application can have a different amount from what was in your Berea application.
