When I was in high school in the early 1980s I have cards with candy canes on them to all my friends. My best friend kept his until 2007 unbeknownst to me lol... We are very happily married and candy canes are a treasure for us. 😁

I remember my daughter and me making candy cane reindeer every Christmas for her class and still to this day we make them for our guests on Christmas

I like to melt the starlight mints in a baking pan to make a plate for gingerbread houses - super easy and looks great too!

My mom always wrapped two gifts in brown paper for each of us kids. she wrapped them in twine, with some greenery and used candy canes plus red striped disk candies in a small bag. They were the "special gifts" that appeared on Christmas Eve. Finally I get to do this wonderfully special tradition with my son.

It's hard to say which is my favorite when it comes to the candy cane's but if I had to pick I guess I would say the wreath.

I just love the candy cane wreath! My neighbor has 10 children and it takes 10 heart shaped to make so I plan to surprise the kids with making it with them! We'll have to use Elmer's glue rather than hot glue but the wait overnight for it to set will just make the "reveal" more exciting! I'll add a big bow with their names on the loops too! I made the candy cane wreath at Valentines with the candy canes I got on clearance after Christmas - they were sold for .25 cents a box for 12. Glued small little roses on it - & found out a friends kiddos ate it!

Hi Shannon, The 2 videos I watched tonight from last year are really super and it is the first time seeing them. I love to make crafts using candy canes. When I was 10 years old I made a mouse out of gray felt and you leave the mouth open and put the candy cane thru the body and the hook part needs to come out of his bottom to look like a tail. Last year I used a box and a half hot gluing the sides of the candy canes to a tim can and then you put greenery in the middle. All your creations are always great but I have to say my favorite is the wall hanging. I Love, Rebekah

These are so cute! I think with the conditions this year we’re all going to find ourselves having to give a lot of smaller gifts to people around us that we can’t actually go and be with and this would be just perfect. I love the gift wrap as it is so simple and what a great way to give a little treat to add to the holiday joy. I also just love the cake. Every year I’ve had large parties and I never thought of doing a cake like that. What a wonderful centerpiece that would make! I just loved the piece with the fir, especially your small tray. I typically don't like using food for non food purposes, but I'm not a fan of eating candy canes, so this works!

Love your ideas. My kids used to make the reindeer candy canes and I believe I did too! It brings back happy holiday memories! I have been using the plastic canes for years to decorate with. I have always had a smaller tree with the real ones, first for the kids and now the grands. I always add a gaint cane in their stockings!
