This video has been amazingly helpful! You are very skilled and your video was informative and easy to follow. Thank you for sharing! I make diy videos too and if I succeed at macrame I’ll most likely make a video of it. Anyway I would love it is we could support and learn from each other.

Jotiop, thanks so much for this easy to follow re-introduction to basic knots. Did macramé many many years ago and so enjoyed it. Make mistake of selling n taking orders for many things I had done for gifts n pleasure. Boy was that overwhelming. Had no idea it would develop into a 10hr day 7 days a week “JOB” to get orders out in a timely way. Made good $$ BUT so not worth it. Looking to get back into the pleasure of it for myself n maybe a grift for my family ONLY.🥰 again thanks

This is by far one of the most helpful and easy to follow videos that I have found online. I do wish that someone would post a tutorial that differentiates each string using color because I still get confused by some of the knots. If each string was marked with a different color sharpie it would be much easier to follow along.

I'M SO HAPPY I FOUND YOUR MACRAME TUTORIAL VIDEO 😊!! I've found and watched TONS of macrame tutorials here on KZfaq and this is by far the BEST one IMO!! It's simple and easy for beginners like me 🙋 to follow along and accomplish. Thank you!! You FINALLY put me out of my misery of not knowing how to macrame in the slightest😂. Most of the other videos I watched were AMAZING, but they were DEFINITELY for skilled macrame artists. Once I know what I'm doing, I'm forsure going back to check them out again 😊. Again, THANK YOU ❤.

Thank you for going slow enough that we can learn the knots easily. A lot of other videos do not and they are very hard to follow. 🙂👍

Perfect tutorial! Now if I can only figure out how long to cut my lengths to make what I want to make!
@Jotopie

thank you! A rough rule of thumb: 4-6 times the length of the final length for each single strand (remember that you might need to double this length if you're making two strands out of one). Hope this helps a bit :)

You did an awesome job ! I'm new to this , always thought it looked cool, and today I thought I'd give it a try! But I would imagine doing all kinds of knots , using both hands , fingers in camera and making it easy to see, would be difficult ,. But you do a great job at demonstrating ,,without even saying a word! Thanks for taking the time! I think you got me hooked ! Question ,, Could you make a pair of curtains with this technique?
